The guy at my local game shop said "this time it'll really be in store on the 3rd... their whole marketing campaing is based on that".

Blinded by hope and misplaced trust, I believed him. I've tried two places already. I got one "maybe later today" and one "tomorrow".

What the hell do they think they're accomplishing by publishing a shipping date? How hard can it be to give loyal paying customers a real in-store date and tell stores to hold on to the game for a couple of days if they get it early?

Who else has that kind of problem? If i come across Bill Gates today, he'd better hope I don't have my scythe on me at the time.

Um usually the "release date" is the shipping date and will be in later today or tomorrow, not that much of a hassle you should have called or looked on line

Yeah, I did expect it, but as I said in the first line of the first post, some dumb clerk told me they would have it for sure. Whether he was also lied to or was just talking out of his ass, I don't know, but I didn't think I needed to double-check because he sounded pretty sure of himself.

Besides, it's good to complain on the web. Maybe some day someone will get the message and stop advertizing wholesale shipping dates to consumers. I mean who's the idiot who got that idea in the first place? Even if you know you won't get your game on the advertized date, you still don't know if you'll need to wait 1, 2 or 3 more days before you can get it from your local store.

It usually comes the next day for me so nothing to fret about, just a lost day of Ninja and fiend killing.
