You really need to stop worrying about online play affecting a game's length, but FYI, it only has 14 chapters.
Personally, I didn't find the game short at all. It's not a button masher, in fact, doing that will do nothing but get you killed a whole lot faster. The controls are solid. If you haven't played Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden Black before this, I don't recommend getting this yet. It's a bit more difficult in areas, sometimes overly so. -------------------
