Plot? |
|
I am playing Sigma for the PS3 currently and the action is second to none, but the plot is not the best, nor is the interaction between the characters.
I am thinking of getting this or waiting for Sigma 2. How is the plot for the sequel overall and interaction between the characters? Please do not try to spoil it. -------------------

The plot is an excuse for the insane action. Team Ninja has yet to write their first decent story, but it doesn't matter. If you liked the action of the first game, get this one. If you want a good story with character development and such, get an RPG on the side.
That said, now is not the best time to get it. You seem to have both a 360 and a PS3, so wait for Sigma 2 and be rewarded with lots of extra goodies like 3 new and sexy characters. Hopefully the game will be more polished as well.

thanks for the reply, I just feel as though there is so much potential with a ninja guy and 3 three busty girls wearing little clothing. Yet not between characters at all, but the action truly is unrivaled...

quote SuperFrogWell from what I hear the game is more polished but in terms of blood Geysers or INSANE NG2 difficulty, not so much. While I know Storm isn't too fond of that and is skeptical of online co-op, I think the game should be extremely good. I heard they addressed the poor camera angles from NG2 in NGS2. Plus, there's going to be trophies... ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

They hardly addressed the camera. Most of what they've done is simply remove things that may have stressed the camera, such as having two bosses on screen at once(which I'm sure they still have in places).

Well I heard that the director mentioned that Sigma 2 has far better camera angles compared to NG2. But he didn't got into details about it.
You do make a point. But if the two bosses is what caused the camera stress, why would they still have some in place? ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

Because it wasn't a problem for some scenarios. Genshin/Elizabet in Mission Mode for instance. Perfectly playable.
Flaming armadillo twins? *bleep* off. Twin Godomos trolls? WTF. It's all based on what the multiple bosses are. The twin Quetzacoatls were okay as well. This is mostly due to there being two types of camera in NGII for boss fights. Fixed on the boss, or controllable like normal. But mostly, any complaints about the camera have always stemmed from people who can't use it properly. I've only had trouble with a few times, and that's due to the armadillo boss battle where I locked onto the boss and the other got it the way constantly. -------------------

Does Ninja Gaiden need a good plot or story? I mean from what i've gathered most of the NG fans play the game for it's action gameplay. I think the story is simple yet good for what the game is about, this only came to mind to what Shadow was talking about on my thread regarding Motion control possibly for future NG games.

Well, I see what you are getting at Final Blade. However, like I stated in the other thread, the plot will not sacrifice the amazing gameplay. It will however attract players like myself who look into multiple points of the game. I rarely play a game that only has one asset, while it is a simple plot and nothing really "bad," it is so simple that it is almost boring and the interaction between the characters are less than impressive.
I mean come on, 3 busty girls and a top-notch ninja fighting together... I can write a story that utilizes this better. Changing the script writer wont change the top-notch gameplay. -------------------

Yea but having a good story doesn't necessarily make a game great, and i'll use chiro as an example of GTA4. The gameplay was still good but it had a tremendous story but since Chiro didn't like the gameplay, the story did nothing for him.
I just don't see having a much deeper plot or story will help the series personally. As for your last point: True you could, but what point is there? What story would you use with them? I'd love to hear your version. ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community
