The Game That took FOREVER
|
As i opened my mail in 1999 i first received the letter...
DUKE NUKEM FOREVER
The screen shots amazed and the trailer was unrefutably the best there was... yet two years had passed and all we got were the same screenshots and trailers, no wonder people got bored...
Games passed by... Half-life 2 was finally released, DOOM 3 was shocking it's spectators and other high tech games were taking over the world....
Fans eventually forgot about the Forever Fever, and the phrase "When it's done" seems so dumb now...
How could we still be waiting for a dead game???
The little boy in 1999 looked through the window imagining how DN:F would be, especially after playing DN: 3D, his mind blazing in ideas...
Would he have ever thought that the game he so anticipated would drown in it's own hyped phrase and fade away...
DUKE NUKEM is now vanquished, not by pig cops, or giant brained aliens... but by it's own creators...
"WHEN IT'S DONE" is no longer a valid answer. This game is dead...

IGN Profile for Duke Nukem Forever
Take a look on the right side of the page where it gives the US Release date. HILARIOUS! Earlier this year they said that this game was still going to be produced for the PC and possibly next-gen systems, though the current-gen system versions were all canceled. I still have faint hope
