All of my characters are level 30 or more, and yet I can't get past the eighth floor. Every time I go to the door it tells me that the Grand Duchy has closed the stairs, as I have something to do for him still.

All I have to do for him is map out the floors - which I can't seem to do. . . and to kill the boss, which I can't do either.

Anyone know why I can't go any further?

you dont have to fight the boss, you have to run around in his lair until he comes out attacking you, then go in his nest (the !!! on your minimap) and claim the feather, then warp wire out of there.
Then give the feather to the minister of the Duke and you can pass.
(Maybe you have to accept the quest first at the minister's if you havent done so already)
lvl 30 already? thats fast, i'm on floor 11 and still only lvl 27.

Hm. The feather? I was in there, and I found that one way path - but I didn't see a feather. I don't have a feather quest from the Duke - but I'll look for the feather again.

Yeah, I'm 32's now, and still stuck on the 8F.

What you do is:
1-Avoid the Fire dragons
2-Lure Salamox to you(don't fight it,unless you're level 70 or above)
3-go around(avoiding the fire dragons)in a loop
4-There is a small 3-square hallway that salamox was in front of,go furthest back and you should see"Check"
5-hit A to pick up the Flame plume
6-Use a warp wire(or magnet/warp/geo stone),seeing as how Salamox is in front of you.
7-report to grand duchy&claim reward
8-Go past floor 8 after sleeping&saving

My team is maxed out(level 99),i beat Ur child(floor 30,final floor),completed quests,filled item compendium,monstrous codex,and the gear registry.

I think i've clocked in about 400+ hours..?
