uh, game installation problem... x.X |
|
I had my Sims 2 Teen Style disc in an old desktop cd burner.
And it got a scratch which wiped out a sector of data on the disc. So when my desktop lost the cd burner because it broke, I'm trying to re-install all my games on my laptop, I tried to buff the scratch out before running it in my laptop, I used this dust-off stuff, Which is actually used as a buffer, and i tried windex, which did not work at all. So far its fine but when it reaches 24% it says, "A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\3D\Sims09.package' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?' If I hit 'Retry' it takes a few seconds and the same warning box pops up. If i hit cancel, I can't install the game at all. Anyone have any tips on how to get the scratch out or how to make the disc work? UHHHHHH. ahahaha. i just used Toothpaste. and it worked. Yayyy. For triumph over huge CD scratches.
