Alright, trying to connect to Live through a BT home Hub 2.0 and a wireless networking adapter, and it's just not connecting. The 360 is picking up the hub when I search for it, but it keeps coming up as not connected. The wireless indicator is showing as steady blue (which should mean the signal is fine)
Any other BT users had this problem? Help! ------------------- ![]()

I can't help you I'm afraid, I'm using a wired connection. My problem is quite different though:

Didn't know where else to put this, didn't want to make a dedicated thread if this one will solve the problem, if I am mistaken then I'll post it somewheres else.
To make a long story short, a friend of a friend had his account stolen by some punk that systematically got into every person's Live account on the guy's friend list, including my friend. If what my friends have been saying is true, and not them blowing things out of proportion, then the one who stole the accounts got enough information from their Live profile (Card numbers, addresses, etc) to make bank transactions. I'm not sure if it was outside of just Microsoft points or not, but there is money taken out of accounts from the ones who had their accounts stolen. What I want to know (since we've already been to Live support and Microsoft, no help from any of them) is, is there any way to find any information on the one accessing the accounts? He's active on a number of the accounts he's stolen and I hear people spinning yarns about being able to find an IP from their Live account. Is this a feasable option or are all parties involved screwed and just hope the prick runs into someone who can do something? Or maybe another way to find out who is doing this? ------------------- "The Nellie, a cruising yawl, swung to her anchor without a flutter of the sails, and was at rest. quote KenshiThe wireless adapter should work whether you have wireless internet or DSL. Buy the wireless adapter. As you can see it will cost you a little over $100 after tax is included. You can find them at Target or Wal-Mart or even K Mart I think. Just plug that in and configure the settings via your Xbox. quote Xbox.com ------------------- ![]()

I just set up my Live profile for the first time...and when I was asked to type in my gamertag I typed in "Lyrikal Retorik" which is what it was before I set up live. However, when I did so...all of my achievements and game saves were gone. Is there a way to resurrect my original profile and use it for my Live profile?
Thanks in advance. ------------------- ![]()

I'm using the ethernet cable from my Xbox to connect to my laptop, and then using my laptop's wireless internet to connect to Xbox Live. When I test the connection to Xbox Live, it shows I can connect to the network, and the internet, but not to Xbox Live. When I'm about a fourth loading Xbox Live, I'm given a choice to install an update on my Xbox. If I decline, I cannot connect to Xbox Live. If I do, it will show my Xbox cannot download the update. It says to test my connection, but that results in a chain of not being able to connect.
I'm getting a wireless adapter for Christmas, but if I cannot install the update, what's the use? -------------------

I think the reason you might not be able to download the update is because it's through your computer. Have you tried directly plugging the Xbox?

Directly plugging the Xbox to my router? It's worth a try.

quote 50_4darksideYeah try seeing if you can download the update that way. If you can then it's totally worth getting the wireless router. ------------------- History is written by the victor.
