Ardonia(Demo V.0.3 released!)

I was looking forward to working with a team of people using VX, so I am working on a game to show people what I am good and bad at, I will probably customize this alot more as I am still warming up to whole VX style. The story starts off a lil dry but gets a lil more in-depth toward the end of the demo.Right now my better aspects are turning out to be Mapping and Eventing. I used all of the Orignal VX RTP just for resourcefulness. Once the next demo comes out i will post a story description and all of that other good stuff. Please post any suggestions and bugs you've found here.

Update #1: New Title Screen and WindowSkin,Slimes in forest now have reduceds HP to speed up progression, and there is now a story connection from Water Domain and the Pier. (Plan to add scripts to reduce all lag)
Tip #1:Try to buy anti-poisons and potions before entering the temple, i will add a side quest which will properly equip you for the challenge.
Update #2:Fixed a few Bugs/misplaced events, added Anti-Venom Herbs and a short side quest to get supplies and maybe even a weapon to take on the dungeon.Also thickened forest. There are some other small tweaks too, but i still need to add in the Anti-Lag Scripts.
Update#3: Finished First Town in Targhost,added a side quest which will help gear a future party member, and adds a lil bit to the lore chain in Targhost,Finished Interior and Exterior (plus a few events) of all of the First Targhost town buildings, added a lil bit of story progression, and am still working on how to transition from the islands of Ardonia->Targhost and vice versa using the ship.
Update#4: Added alot of scripts to make things nicer, these are but aren't limited to: Sideview battle,animated title screen,nice menu screen, and a nice menu status screen.

(Also after my power outage incident, im not quite as depressed with this project anymroe and im continuing)

Also it is in a .RAR file so if you dont have a program capable of opening these (which i hope for your sake you do) then look up WinRAR or WinZIP on google.

KK, this is just a basic Project im working on to show what i can do with the games RTP, there is mroe to the demo after the first dungeon though (forgot to adda trail in the story that leads there, so after you finish the first dungeon go the the dock and talk with the queen on her boat), i fixed this in the current version of the project (unreleased) and i also added a title screen and a window skin for the next demo release. Im also looking into getting a decent battle script just to make it look nice.

Okay, I haven't played much of it yet, Just tested it to see if I finally got a good download. (not your fault but my connection's) First thing that I would suggest would be to go through the game and make sure all the text is visible in the dialogues. The Conversation with the Queen is the first point I noticed it. But some of her words were off the side of the screen, Kinda like a bad fan translated J-Game. So far, other than that everything seems fine. You might considering giving the guards some chit chat and turn down the volume on the clock in the beginning, That nearly drove me insane. A challenge since some say I am already there.

I will play through it later tonight and give a full report.

Yea this is my first game on VX, and the queen was one of my first few events, i didn't really get the arrows until later on in developement, I have noticed the text errors, their on my to-do list... jsut not very high on the list right now. Another thing is if you get V 0.3 the crate in the dock house is currently not passable so you cant trigger the event to steal the potions ( and you cant trigger the other little cookie on the crate if you keep trying to steal from it after you get the potions *cheat/Easteregg spoiler)

Just a couple of things now that I have played through v0.3. Firstly, You need to go through your dialouges and make sure all the I 's are capitalized. There were a few were a few grammatical errors that I'm not even sure they your fault. Such as "100g were found".
Secondly, During the conversation with the Water Sprite, her text window changes to default.

kk thanks, and the 100g were found thing is the default if you use the quick event to create the chest, the VX creators must have got sloppy while making the english version, thats only a minor thing though ill go back and fix the chest dialogues later on, as for the water sprites chat i can fix that immidiately as it is a simple click and go sort of thing.
