I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in making simple tutorials or demo's for people to find and download? Breadfan has some great ones one RPGMakerXP and i was thinking we could all put our heads together to try something similar here ^^

Obviously we probably arent as gifted but im sure we can be of use to newcomers with like switch tutorials etc. So if anyones interested please post here and we can discuss some ideas. Anything no matter how small can be of use, even if it is a "How to write a cliche Fantasy story" XD

Hm, i could write up a couple of basics. But yeah, i don't think we got what it takes to demo an advanced event system =P

Yeah well some of the stuff Breadfan did was pretty crazy like the mirror puzzle etc but we could make demos for lots of things easily, for example.

Switches
Variables
Mapping (and then lots of examples, like castle, town, interior, forest)
Making a Quest
Changing stuff like the title screen and map music
How to make dynamic NPC's
Making Regen skills etc
Common Events
Making Cut Scenes
Mini games

Basicaly all the small things we can all do that someone who was new to RPGMakerVX would have trouble with. Then we could build up a community thread and simply link to it when people ask them If everyone tackled just one then we could cover that list fairly quickly, then literally anyone is equipped to make a game.

I'll make a bunch of tutorials like:

How to make a door
How to make a chest
How to make a transfer point
How to set your vehicle up

Well, you were good with XP, right? Why not do a switches/variables tutorial?

I'm good at switches I guess, so I could make a demo some time.

Yeah, but that doesn't matter 'cuz we'd end up redoing the whole thing anyway

True... OK, then, give Fred the link to that tutorial and we'll let him take it from there.

OK. Here we go:

1. Devro gives you link to RMXP switch/variable tutorial
2. You look at the tutorial and get the idea of it
3. You make a NEW tutorial (same exact info) with VX screenies
4. You post up here in a new Tutorial Compendium (I don't wanna make it this time) so we can keep track. Maybe you can make it, too.

So I get the link then I make a screenshot tutorial then post it here?
