(Newb RPG Maker VX User) ~~~Assassins Tale~~~ Beta.

This is my second game using RPG maker, my first being on the PS2 version of RPG Maker VX. I also made a few small games on RMXP back in the day, but I never finished them as Breadfan may remember. So, I'm not very good at this program yet, but here it goes...

The first bit was sort of awkward. Everyone had the same thing to say, albeit, said in a different way.

First, you should probably work on your city mapping. Having a thorough understanding of each tile and its uses is essential to mapping.

I didn't have time to play it all the way to the end. Just past the fairground really.
And on that, you can't be really lazy with large areas like that. It makes things so much more interesting when each NPC has something to say.
Having that many NPCs would make unique mumbo jumbo pretty hard, but thats where you have to be creative.

Making the majority of the fairground off limits (unless you buy a ticket) Would prevent you from having to give dialouge to so many NPCs.

Copy paste just doesn't work well.

The city itself was littered with bottles, that appeared to be on one massive roof, which was very strange.

What? I wasn't trying to be rude in anyways. I am grateful even one person took the time to play through my "game", if it can be called that, but I was just using the *sigh* in a sort of joking way. I am also very VERY grateful for Arion for giving me advice, unlike a dick who would just say "it sucks" and not say what's wrong with it, so I can go back and improve the parts that weren't right.

I have to admit, I love the plot~!
It has an interesting story, and it's pretty well done to be your second game (or at least, your second "known game" xP) on the maker xD

Some things I noticed:

- You have to put more effort on mapping. For example, Kiru's House would look a lot better if you made it smaller nut better decorated. When you make big maps you have to fill the space used, otherwise it looks so empty.
- Try to not use cut/paste with NPC's. It's very weird to go to a parade and hear every single boy say the same.
- Try putting more details to cities/towns, maybe put more houses, it's easy, and with the Quik Event Utility of RMVX it's fairly easy to make the doors
- (?)The dialogue boxes cutted some text. It looks like the lines were too long for the boxes, here is a screenshot of what I mean:

Now, I don't know if this is a problem with my maker and/or PC settings, but I doubt it...

Most of the things were said before, but I just wanted to help you to improve your game, 'cuz I really liked the story and the way it was told.

Shoot! I apologize deeply. I tried my best to make sure none of those were left! I feel so stupid I missed one like that!

Thank you for your criticism. I've never been good at making maps, haha, but I'll try to improve there. And I admit I was a little lazy with the copy and paste for NPC's. I'll definitely go back and fix that, make every single on of them have unique text

About the text, it was in various parts, the screenshot was just an example ><, but don't worry, it happpens, specially when you're inspired writing the dialogues ^^

The text thing is easy to fix. It happens because you went past the first arrow and had a character picture. It cuts off the end of words and some times whole words which makes things more confusing. I had the same problem with my game, but I fixed that before uploading the demo.

Walls inside houses will look so much better if you add one more tile to them. They are too low. This is why the curtains in the second place you see in the game look so ridiculously huge, it's because your wall was not high enough for them.

I'd have to agree with pretty much everyone here... your storyline was great... but the mapping needs improvement...I'm not that great at mapping either... so i used some of the premade maps that came with my download...
