Assuming you’ve still got Nani I’d have 4-1-4-1 like this:-

Evra,Vidic,Ferdinand,GNeville
DM –Veloso
CM – Scholes
RM – Nani with forward arrow to AMR
LM – Riquelme / Rooney with forward arrow to AML
AMC – Rooney / Recoba
CF - Berba

Team tactics as attacking, not much creative freedom, counter attack, close down all over pitch width as normal, shor but quick passing (trust me it works if you have Recoba or Riquelme as playmaker) and target man supply as mixed assuming its Berbatov

Have Veloso as DM tactics only with closing down in own half, but, this is important have him holding up the play, and at corners on egde of area
Scholes as forward runs often, long shots often, mixed passing and easy tackling
Recoba if at AMC as playmaker with foreward runs, run with ball, long shots and through balls often, loads of creative freedom and a free role
Nani general wing tactics, run with ball cross ball and forward runs
Rooney, if at LM have him run with ball, rarely cross and rare through balls, but at AMC same tactics as Recoba at AMC without through balls
Full backs have crossing and forward runs as often and Neville cross from deep but evra cross from byline

You can always put Ronaldo in at AML and Rooney at AMC and rotate them once he gets back to fitness. I’d also suggest a new RB either Srna or Rafinha who are def gonna join and you do have a bit of cash don’t ya? Foster’s good enough in goal second season onwards.
