a short story about my best game yet with ipswich.................

1st Season: getting to know the club
first day in and i had a look at my squad, i believed i didnt have enough talent to achieve what i wanted to achieve..

having set my expectations as a top half finish i made the following signings to help me achieve this

bogdan stancu
andy gray
stephen caldwell
arthur sorin
alex ( who would join in january)
jourdean (gk)

some of the players that i had let go included:
alan lee
jon walters
dan harding

at first i found it very difficult to find wins and my first season was really a season that would help me figure out who my best players were , and what formations and tactics would work for my team...

the first season flew by pretty quickly and before i knew it the season was over ... a small run of 3 straight wins on the last 3 games of the season helped me to 12th place finish which meant that i had achieved my goal.

some positives that i took from the season was the performances of alex since joining in january , andy grays very good 18 goal record as well as arthur sorin being hailed by managers around england ..

despite this bogdan stancu failed to impress me however i realised it was his first season as an ipswich player and i felt it was hard to drop counago ...

2nd season : improved expectations
at the start of my second season i made another few signings that included :

i had also sold a few players but at this stage my starting team looked as follows

the start of the season didnt produce much positive signs but with the signing of lee williamson and a few changes in tactics i found a team and formation that suited my team :

with this team i managed to end up with an 8th position finish and some other positives included :

stancu started to find the net with 12 goals
andy gray also contrubuted with 14 goals
alex recieved player of the season award and scored 17 goals , had 13 assists and an average rating of 7.45

3rd season: who would have expected this??
my expectations for this season was to finish in the top half again
well before i say how my season got on , i must inform you of some changes i made during the transfer window.

andy gray had started to fall out of favour with his team mates and i recieved an offer from burnley that i couldnt refuse of 1.1 million

alex ( my superstar ) recieved planty of bids for about 5 million of sides like man utd n liverpool however wolves were the shock highest bidders with a bid of 11 million which i simply had to accept..

michael mc indoe was brought in as owen garvin moved to bristol city on a swap offer ... £120,000

i bought joe ledley from cardiff as a replacement for out of form wright ... £800,000

Bikey signed from reading for 2.1 million

michael mifsud signed on a free transfer

With this team i made a cracking start with 6 wins from the first 10 games which say me in 4th place which was well beyond my expectations ( who needs alex ehhhh?? )

coming into the start of march i was sitting pretty in 4th place, 8 points inside the playoff picture ...

now heres were my career took off ,,
10 wins and 1 draw from the last 12 games of my season resulted in Ipswich being crowned coca cola championship champions ,,, ( on goal difference over birmingham )

the season had turned out to be fantastic and every one seemed shocked ,,, my excellent faith in my young spirited side had paid off and we were heading to the premiership..

the season ended with three of my players being rated the top 3 in the league for that season :

mc indoe ( quality signing )

stancu always finished the season as joint top scorer with 27 goals...

4th season Moving up
just to clarify i have not yet started my premiership season:D

however now that i had made ipswich a lot of money ( including 30 million for premier league t.v rights) i would now recieve a big transfer budget of 13 million ,, and my expectations was to attempt to avoid relagation ..

so far i have made 1 signing and that being jose baxter who had joined chelsea from everton .. he cost me 6.3 million but i believe he will become a world class player ,, for a striker he already ahs 18 composure , 18 finishing and 17 pace ,, and he is still only 19
