Your Devil Gate strategies. |
|
Well, as we all know, the game's fighting is pretty easy through the main quest. Bu, the side quest of the Devil Gates is...a lot harder. Just hacking away with weapons USUALLY won't work, you have to get creative with your techniques to win(at least I did).
So what did you attack with as your primary source of defense /offense in the Devil Gates? Or did you have a combination of your techniques into one? I used: When you defend an attack with the reflector, and grab onto them and cream them into the ground, I either pu 2-3 bombs at the point of impact or used the secondary blizzard/lightning technique for great damage. I draw 3 cherry bombs, then put them out with Deluge, push them towards an enemy with Galestorm, then use FireBurst to finish it...Consuming, yet very satisfying. I also tended to use the trees as a quick way to get enemies away from attacking you, they may do near nothing for damage, but it knocks them far enough away and the trees can fend off three enemies at once, too bad that the natural spaces are so limited in the Devil Gates. Obviously, the mist is handy for slowing down the movements of the enemy and attack when they can't dodge very well or even hit you. Anyway, as you can see, I don't use my weapons much in comparison to my Brush Techniques. Anyway post your combinations or attack strategies for the Devil Gates. ------------------- "The hole is greater than the sum of its parts."

My main tactic was having two rosaries attached. I'd double jump into the air and press the Z button as quick as I could to hit them with the bullets attack. It's a good technique if you have lots of weaker enemies on screen. You're dodging and it inflicts quite a lot of damage. My second tactic for when I had a few stronger enemies was either getting all of them in a group or backing a specific one into a corner and then keep hitting the with my Rosary while using Veil of Mist. It takes a lot of ink and you might get hit a bit but it wears them down quickly and your Godhood stays up. So far I have no techniques for the Doom Wheels which are the ones that hurt me the most. ------------------- ![]()

I use the strongest glaive, charge it to its max, and slash as many enemies in one go as i can. Also, doing an aerial attack with a glaive (on either main or secondary weapon) is always a good way to go.
The only time i really use brush techniques is when i have to Power Slach a sheild of some kind, when i have to deal withe the elemental wheels/mirrors, and when i use Veil of Mist to slow the Dogu. When it comes to the proliferation of Evil Raos, Wakas and Nagis at the end of the final challenge, i usually just use a Vengeance slip, then when it wears of, i usually have full god-hood. I then wait for that to be used up, then use another vengeance slip. ------------------- "Foolish beings! Accept your end with dignity and grace!" — Shadow Teddie

I just do what I always do against enemies. Nothing special since it takes an effort to actually die in this game.
