Yes it is. They're just using the belt to market the fight and make it seem more important and the WAMMA world titles have absolutely no lineage or prestige

re: Strikeforce Discussion |

And this just in: Strikeforce introduced a surprise guest at the weigh-ins yesterday: DREAM (and WAMMA) Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki, who could soon fight for SF! Presumably without the legendary "stretchy pants". Aoki likely will be in attendance tonight.
Tonight's results: Prelims (not scheduled to air): Christan Uflacker beat Jonatas Novaes by unanimous decision, 2 30-25s and 1 29-26. Nate Moore beat Louis Taylor by submission (strikes) at 3:24 of round 2. Shamar Bailey beat John Kolosci by unanimous decision, 3 29-27s. Jeff Curran beat Dustin Neace by submission (injury) at 1:39 of round 1.* Deray Davis vs. Mark Miller (DELAYED, possibly off) Marloes Coenen beat Roxanne Modafferi by submission (armbar) at 1:03 of round 1. As a result, Coenen will next face SF Women's Champion Cristiane Santos for the title, maybe in January. TV fights (9-11 PM ET on CBS): Fabricio Werdum beat Antonio Silva by unanimous decision, 3 29-28s. Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi beat Sokoudjou by TKO (strikes) at 3:43 of round 2 in a NON-TITLE match. Jake Shields beat Jason Miller by unanimous decision, 2 49-46s and 1 48-47, to win the vacant Strikeforce Middleweight Championship. WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko beat Brett Rogers by TKO (strikes) at 1:48 of round 2 to retain the title. *-Neace missed weight. This fight was catch weight at 147, Neace is fined 20% of his fight purse which goes to Curran. Late update: The Davis-Miller prelim is delayed due to time constraints. Gee Miller, thanks for the EliteXC-esque entrance. Now all we need is Fedor to be dropped by a pawing jab and Strikeforce is over

I'm streaming this, *bleep*ing CBS West Coast preemptions. ¬__¬ Missed the Mousasi bout, but I'll catch that in another hour when it finally airs for me. It's odd because I've got two streams going on and both have different commentators and different shit going on. One was hyping all these fighters, and another was showing all these chicks in the crowd at one time. haha.
And yes, Miller needs to dance less and fight better.

Boring ass fight. Shields sat on top of Miller the entire time. Well, here's Fedor to hopefully pull a Kimbo and kill this promotion off too.

So Miller-Shields gets intros but the main event doesn't?

Man, Rogers gassed out pretty damn fast. Fedor nearly ended it with that left hook.

The M-1 broadcast showed their entrances. Nothing special. They just stood in the ring while CBS ran a billion *bleep*ing commercials. Great first round though.

How soon before we hear Strikeforce officials payed Rogers to keep it standing?
![]() Edit: Okay, my CBS started broadcasting 15 minutes ago, and it started with Shields vs Miller. Were Werdum/Silva and Mousasi/Sokoudjou not shown on Tv?
