Looks like Tito's return is set. According to Mark Coleman's longtime friend/training partner, it's Ortiz vs. Coleman at UFC 106 in Vegas on 11/21. This is still breaking so there aren't too many details right now.

I think he was on about the source where you found that out because there's a slight feeling I have that you and Coleman's friend/training partner aren't close.

I know, but when you give you have to be able to take.
A possible Michael Bisping-Wanderlei Silva fight at UFC 105 now appears dead according to Bisping. On his blog he says Silva recently had facial surgery and, fighting-wise, may be done for the year. Junkie says UFC officials hope to find a suitable replacement in order to keep Bisping in the main event of the show. I'm waiting for mmabay.co.uk to EXCLUSIVELY confirm this since they started this rumor about the fight that ultimately proved false, likely lowering their average below .500. Junkie also says James Wilks (TUF 9 winner) vs. Matt Brown is also possible for 105. And for apparently no real reason other than the hell of it, UFC's putting a bunch of old fight cards and other programs on Spike this Saturday & Sunday: 1 PM-UFN 4 (Stephan Bonnar vs. Keith Jardine) 3 PM-UFC 75 (Quinton Jackson vs. Dan Henderson) 6 PM-UFC 89 (Michael Bisping vs. Chris Leben) 9 PM-UFC Fights For The Troops 11:30 PM-UFC 75 2:30 AM-Ultimate Iceman Sunday: 9 AM-Ultimate Iceman 1:30 PM-UFC FFTT 4 PM-8 hours of Unleashed UFC 102 weigh-ins are next Friday at 7 PM ET. Live streaming video via the usual outlets. This message was edited by DCRage on Aug 19 2009. ------------------- My Blog-Sports, MMA, Girls, Etc.

Who cares about Zeroes...
Anyway, take this as strictly a rumor for now, but the rumor is Shane Carwin vs. Cain Velasquez at UFC 104 is off because UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will next defend against Carwin at UFC 106. According to the report, the UFC has not confirmed the change, and Velasquez's management, Zinkin Entertainment, has not heard any news regarding the bout being scratched. So take this as only a rumor for now, and of course stay tuned... Kenny Florian will be back in the TV booth next month too, he'll do UFN 19 with Goldberg. KenFlo says Rogan will be away due to filming a movie. And another one down today-Thiago Tavares is now off UFC 103. Knee injury. He was to have faced Jim Miller. No word yet on if they'll try to find a replacement. Also possibly buried in the Nogueira news the other day-UFC may also have re-signed Gilbert Yvel. Zuffa apparently picked up his contract in the whole Affliction deal. 106 update: Lesnar and Carwin reportedly have agreed to the fight, pending bout agreements being sent out and signed. Velasquez will remain on the 104 card, and should he win his fight he probably will be next in line for a shot (meaning he gets the Lesnar-Carwin winner). And on that note, it looks like Cain's new opponent will be Ben Rothwell. This message was edited by DCRage on Aug 20 2009. ------------------- My Blog-Sports, MMA, Girls, Etc.

So if Houston Alexander loses at Adrenaline MMA IV will that spark his release from UFC? Just found it odd when I saw his name was announced for the card and assumed he had already been released only to see they allowed him the fight while under contract.

quote DCRageMuch like Baroni, he'll never be world champion, but give him the right match up and he'll have an exciting fight every time. quote DCRageEveryone was already looking past Cain and just assuming the match between Lesnar and Carwin was going to happen, so it makes sense to just have that match instead. Also gives an opportunity for Cain to get some more experience and wins before he goes for the title. He's still a rookie. ------------------- Living brain, what kind of dork wants that?...With any luck, the kind of dork who'll be operating on your prostate someday! | |

Good luck cramming 7-8 fights into 2 hours, you figure at least 2 of those fights are likely to go to decisions. But that's enough to not make me want to pay for the PPV-why pay for 5 fights when I can potentially see 8 for free?
Chase Gormley, was was to have faced Ben Rothwell at UFC 104 before Rothwell was tabbed to replace Shane Carwin against Cain Velasquez, reportedly will now face Stefan Struve at 104. With the recent move, 104's card now looks like this: UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio Rua for the title Ben Rothwell vs. Cain Velasquez Yushin Okami vs. Chael Sonnen Sean Sherk vs. Gleison (Graison) Tibau Spencer Fisher vs. Joe Stevenson Anthony Johnson vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida Ryan Bader vs. Eric Schafer Rob Kimmons vs. Jorge Rivera Patrick Barry vs. Antoni Hardonk Chase Gormley vs. Stefan Struve Razak Al-Hassan vs. Kyle Kingsbury This message was edited by DCRage on Aug 21 2009. ------------------- My Blog-Sports, MMA, Girls, Etc.
