As Will stated, definition of fluke is having the #1 guy get beat against a guy that no one gave any credit to and considered a huge underdog. It was booked as an easy win for Dollaway and instead he lost, twice, in the same submission hold to a guy with no prior MMA record. Go watch TUF7 again, especially the profiles on each fighter in the special features... Amir gets dumped on left and right, even going as far as to having a botched custom mouth piece (forget what it said but they completely screwed up the quote he asked to have on it). Talk about kicking a dog while it's already down.

How do having injuries qualify someone as being a fluke or even cursed? That's the dumbest reasoning I've heard in quite some time, plain and simple. It's not as though he went out there and Hendricks completely dominated him. He freakin slipped from the uppercut, tried standing up (instead of getting in a better defensive position; perhaps rookie mistake if anything) and Hendricks started throwing fists, which more than half didn't even connect. Multiple camera angles and replays proved that. Then the ref made a ridiculously early call to stop the fight. Hardly qualifies for a fighter to be called a fluke, even if the fluke is warranted in Hendricks UFC debut because he was handed that victory by the ref, only then to go on and talk a bunch of shit in the post-fight conference about eyes rolling in the back of Amir's head and how he was only able to stand up after he stopped dropping (and I quote) "bombs". Give me a break Hendricks. Not an impressive debut for either fighter really.

LOL, he's not a journo dude, he just copies and pastes stuff from other websites like the rest of us and most of what he posts in here, I read about the day before.

I don't think Amir will be cut if he loses. A lot of people were calling his last match an early stoppage, so the UFC may just write that one off. + Mac Danzig to my knowledge is still with the company after three successive losses, Nate is still there having dropped his last two and Joe Stevenson hasn't had the best win/loss record lately. Also, Kendall Grove dropped a couple not long ago and they kept him around as well. I think it mostly has to do with winning TUF giving you a name and the UFC isn't likely to cut one of their popular fighters for another company to take advantage of. Anyways, Amir/Baroni is gonna be an exciting match for sure

does anyone no when GSP is fighting next and i dont think kampman deserves a number 1 contender shot coz his only wins in welterweight are over Alexandre Barros and carlos condit. swick derserves it alot more but then again i really cant think of anyone decent he could fight for number 1 contender but no matter who wins i think GSP will carve them up

If Kampmann wins, I wouldn't have a problem calling him the number one contender. He beat some pretty good guys at MW and a win would make him 3-0 at WW with his last two wins over Carlos Condit and Mike Swick. Not bad. The title match will probably be on the January or February card.

Likely next year, my best guess is January or February. If they can get him on the pre-Super Bowl event htey likely will.

Actually wikipedia's usually pretty reliable with that kind of thing. Your guess is as good as mine; Cantwell, Cane, Thiago Silva, Matt Hamill, Brandon Vera...It won't be a gimme fight, they'll have him in there with a contender. 2-3 wins would probably give Rogerio a title shot
