And once again Spike will air upcoming UFC prelims for free, this time it's at UFC 104. The lucky fights chosen: Ryan Bader vs. Eric Schafer and Antoni Hardonk vs. Pat Barry. Now don't get too excited about this yet-it's not known if this will be a standard setup for future cards or simply a matter of the UFC again gathering data. When they did this for 103, they got 1.4 million viewers and a #2 ranking in their target men 18-34 demo. But question to Junkie, my source: Why even THINK about suggesting Yushin Okami vs. Chael Sonnen instead? That's nothing but a food and bathroom break fight, Okami MW contendership be damned.

There's a rumor going around of Junior dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga at 108. I could see this being a #1 contender fight, but it'll be very hard to deny JDS a title shot if he wins.

Johny Hendricks vs. Ricardo Funch (Brazil) has been added to UFC 107.

UFC has asked the NSAC for approval for a January 2 event date, which would be UFC 108. The NSAC will consider the formal request when it meets Friday. They will also consider a request to grant Gilbert Yvel a license and a hearing for WEC fighter Cole Province, who is looking at a suspension for a failed drug test after WEC 42 (and perhaps a repeat of that unintentionally crude joke I made after the suspension).

Sexyama vs W Silva could happen at UFC 111, which means it could be in Australia, there are other reports that it might happen at 110 in Vegas. I think it could happen in OZ as Sydney has a large Asian population, but id rather it be in Vegas as i havent a clue what time it would be airing over in OZ.

A rumored bout between Wanderlei Silva (32-10-1 MMA, 2-5 UFC) and Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is apparently set for UFC 110, which takes place Feb. 21 at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Silva discussed the fight openly in a recent video his camp posted on YouTube.

According to Silva, the middleweight bout serves as the headline fight for the event, which takes place on a rare Sunday (with an apparent live Saturday broadcast in the U.S.).

As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) detailed earlier this week, Akiyama recently hinted about the Silva matchup during an appearance in Japan to promote the "UFC Undisputed" videogame. But the Japanese fighter only said the fight would take place sometime in February with no exact date.

Akiyama made his octagon debut with a razor-thin split-decision win over Alan Belcher at UFC 100 in July. The bout earned Akiyama, who hasn't lost since a March 2005 bout with Jerome LeBanner, the evening's $100,000 "Fight of the Night" award. He's now 12-0 (with two no-contests) over his past 14 fights.

Silva, fighting at middleweight after slimming down from 205 pounds, looks to snap a two-fight losing streak. The MMA legend is just 1-5 in his past six contests, which have included decision losses to former champ Rich Franklin and Chuck Liddell.

Should be a good fight, havent got a clue what time it will be airing in the US an UK, hopefully after this fight Wand will come fight in Birmingham, England. Would love to see him fight live.

If it's live in the US, probably something like 3-4 AM ET. If my math's correct, Australia is 15-16 hours ahead of the US East Coast.

UFC reportedly is trying to put Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller together for 109.
