Anyone else not interested in 105? I think i'll be downloading this one...106 and 107 look pretty good although to be honest, I was looking forward to Tito/Coleman.

Are you goin to 110 dude? It's so awesome they put Wanderlei on the card and I really hope nothing happens to him (injuries etc.) between now and then. I'm not too worried about Alves/Fitch being off - Rumble/Kos is a pretty good substitute and they've bumped Amir/Baroni to the main card. Looking forward to Rogerio's debut as well and our very own George sotiropulous should be able to beat Dent. The only thing lacking with 106 is a real quality main event

That sucks those two fights are off 108. Can't complain about 105. Free card for US on SpikeTV is always a good thing in my book, regardless who's on the fight. Being Couture vs Vera in the Main Event, hell yeah I'm excited. Will just have to avoid this forum, yahoo's main page and all the MMA sites until they air the event on Tv.
As for 106, no question about it. I'm the most vocal supporter of Forrest and I strongly believe this is his comeback fight after two devastating losses in a row. In fact the next several months have a lot of good fights planned. Can not wait to see Diego beat Penn. Ultimate Fighter Finale looks great especially with the unofficial Alexander/Kimbo fight. Just wish Brock vs Carwin was still happening at 106.

quote The Living Angelus Really? Based on what? I still think Penn will win relatively easy, if Sanchez thinks his cardio can push the pace on Penn he'll have a shock. -------------------

YES!
YES! YES! Diego can kill you with a glare. They should have cast him in Clooney's place for that "Men Who Stare at Goats" film. ------------------- ![]() ![]()

hello everyone, id like your opinion on something. im an obssessed MMA fan ive been watch all the MMA i can for the past 12 months and visualy studied the moves used ( BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, Striking). ive been only doing BJJ and MMA for abit over a month now and im also starting to train with a black belt in judo helping me with throws and shit and im enjoying it greatly and after BJJ which goes for an hour i do an hour and a half session off MMA training. and by the time next year that i wanna fight i should be 2 stripes on my white belt ( cant get blue until im 18) i train 3 times a week by the way ive been doing this for a month. this is what im thinking, i want to have my first MMA fight because im really keen to do this in the future and i want as much experience as possible and i think having my first fight would be a great learning exsperience. im planning on starting up early next year ( maybe jan, feb or march) so i can get some solid couple of monthes of training ( also at home i have a punching bag which i train with alot) im motivated im 15 turning 16 in may im 5'10 and 136 pounds so im pretty skinny but ive got good strength and athletic ability for my weight and height. so should i try and fight so soon with very little to no experience? oh and by the way i live in australia where there isnt any wrestling at all and MMA isnt that well known sport here.

Have you thought of asking your trainers? They'd be the ones best suited to give this kind of advice. Also, make sure you're at a recognized gym - there's only 2 or 3 in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area that I know of and they do teach wrestling.
You know what man, if you want my opinion, I'd be looking at my first match sometime in 2011 at the earliest if I were you - You're still very young and perhaps too motivated. I don't train MMA, so it's not really for me to comment, but I think a solid year of training would be sufficient. And don't worry about the experience because early on, you'll be fighting other guys that are just starting out as well. thanks alot
http://www.fiveknuckles.com/mma-news...r-UFC-110.html An intriguing heavyweight contest between Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and Ben Rothwell is in the works for UFC 110 in February, according to a report from Sherdog.com. Both fighters will be looking to rebound from disappointing stoppage losses in their last fights. Filipovic (25-7-2) is coming off a loss against Junior dos Santos at UFC 103 in September. He hinted strongly at retiring from MMA following the loss to dos Santos, however, later backed off of those statements saying that he would honor the last 2 fights on his UFC contract. Prior to the loss, he was on a four fight unbeaten streak, which included a win in his return to the UFC against Mostapha Al-Turk. Filipovic has put together a sub-par 2-3 record in five fights with the UFC, suffering notable Octagon losses against Gabriel Gonzaga and Cheick Kongo. "Cro Cop" is a longtime veteran of the now-defunct Pride organization, fighting 24 of his 35 career bouts with the Japanese promotion. The K-1 veteran has finished 22 of his 25 career wins including 19 by TKO or KO. He holds notable wins during his eight year career over the likes of Aleksander Emelianenko, Mark Coleman, Josh Barnett and Wanderlei Silva. Rothwell (30-7) most recently suffered a controversial second round TKO loss in his UFC debut against Cain Velasquez at UFC 104 on Oct. 24. The fight was stopped after Rothwell was taking several unanswered blows from Velasquez against the cage, however, many felt it was stopped prematurly as Rothwell was still coherent and seemed to be tranisitioning to get back to his feet. Rothwell voiced his frustration with the stoppage. "I was climbing back to my feet and unless he drops me or my eyes roll back in my head, the fight shouldn't be stopped in that situation," said Rothwell. Prior to joining the UFC, Rothwell put together a impressive 14-1 streak, which saw him go 9-0 in the now-defunct IFL promotion. The eight year veteran of the sport has competed for other notable promotions such as Extreme Challenge, King of the Cage, Adrenaline MMA and Affliction. He has scored stoppage wins in 28 of his 30 career victories and holds notable career wins over the likes of Travis Fulton, Roy Nelson, Krzysztof Soszynski and Ricco Rodriguez. Though not officially announced, UFC 110 is tentatively set to take place on Feb. 21 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. The event is rumored to be headlined by a middleweight bout between Yoshihiro Akiyama and Wanderlei Silva. copy and paste job. wiki has 110 card looking like this Middleweight Bout: Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama[2] Heavyweight Bout: Ben Rothwell vs. Mirko Filipović[3] Light Heavyweight Bout: Jamie Te Huna vs. TBA[4] hoping for afew more bigger names yet

Card is starting to shape up and it's good they're going to featuring local guys like Jamie Te Huna...This guy's been wrecking fools down here these last couple of years, he's strong as hell, hard to hold down and has KO power. It'll be interesting to see how he goes against a more established US based fighter. I'm looking for Adrian Pang to show up at some point, he deserves a chance.
