yo WereJackal here. i never play the original one or any other version so this is my first time trying it. im not too fond with the series too, only have played DQ VII on PS2, didnt even finish it lol, and completed DQM: Joker on DS.

im not that far in this game but i enjoyed it so far. its a nice game

Sup guys, I'm therealNgamer obviously and a huge RPG fan as well. This is actually the first DQ game I've ever played, but I'm becoming a fan of the series quickly!

I'm not a big fan of RPGs at all, but I'm really enjoying this. 10 hours in, just started chapter 5, really like the humour in it and it looks lovely too.

Hello, everyone. I've always been a big RPGer, and have finally escaped the stranglehold of Final Fantasy. I've really liked the DQ series ever since 3 on the NES, and absolutely love 8 on PS2. I've just finished getting everyone together in Chapter 5 and play this game every night.

I became interested when the trilogy and IX were announced for the DS, and I liked Joker when I found it about a month ago.

I still play casio in chapter 2 it very hard to get 777 in slot machine

Tarvok here. Longtime fan of the Dragon Warrior/Quest series. My first RPG ever was the original Dragon Warrior on the NES! Played all four on the NES, later got the GBC versions of 1-3, as well as Cobi's Journey. I've played through 7 twice, though I never managed to beat God. I've gotten both endings in 8, though I'm currently saved at the point where I go through ALL the Dragovian Trials. I'm very much looking forward to play 5 and 6 for the first time (other than my aborted attempts to play fan-translated ROMs). And I'm glad 9 is coming out on the DS.

I'm happy there's finally a new version of 4 (we Americans never saw another version since the original NES), though I'm not that happy with the implementation. It's all right, but not as good as it could easily have been.

Hi I'm 1 Adam 12 I have been a fan of this series since i beat Dragon Warrior and DW 2 NES versions mind you.I just got this game last Friday i still have DW IV for the NES but my NES is really old bummer it keeps crashing i really wanted to beat the NES version of this game I was real excited when i saw game stop had Dragon Quest IV on sale used not bad i paid about $25 for it used i only wish square enix would release DQ 1 through 3 so i could have all 4 stories
