a couple of days ago i read the book to this movie and i was wondering if anybody else has?

i really liked it. it was a lot different then the movie but i liked the book a bit more for the fact that they explain a lot more. for example how he got the disease. its nice to see someone else on here besides myself.

Yeah the books reigns supreme over all three film versions.

Have you seen The Last Man On Earth or Omega Man?

I like them both better than the newest film.

yeah i saw both of them but its been quite awhile. i loved the book though. the other storys in the book were kinda weird though. oh and i heard that the were going to have arnald schezzinetter (or however you spell it) play main character instead of will smith. lol i cant imagine that!

yeah that was when a different director was attached to direct, it almost came to be.

Arnolds cool, it doesn't really matter who plays neville as long they have strong personality and can act to a certain extent. It wouldn't have been any worse than will smith, and he did pretty good.

Will Smith is no Vincent Price or Charlton Heston though.

I was really disappointed with the new film, how the one that finally sported the original novel's title, was not very faithful to the novel.

It felt more like an Omega Man remake!

yeah i was kinda hoping that the movie would be like the book but it wasn't. and i heard someone say that it was official they were going to make i am legend 2. it seems possible but i don't know what they would base it off. it could be about a different human that survived but i would like to see a remake of this one but no survivors (but him) more clearly explain the vampires like the book. show how he got the immunity to the disease like the book. and have the vampires as smart as in the book. but it was completely different. what do you think the second movie would be based off if they make a second movie?

The next film is going to be a prequel, and yes its official.

Thats probably what they will do, because in the film he mentions that they recently lost all human logic/reasoning or something.

unfortunately they aren't vampires they are more like zombies in the new film...they call them "Dark Seekers"......

I hate how we never got to see the "Dark Seekers" screaming neville's name every night. Perhaps the prequel will show that.
