ok i solved my PS3 problem NOW i started a new game on pro lvl got all the way to beeting the sedgick hotell lvl then had to go when i got back was READY to start the libery lvl BUT NO the game had not saved a singe dang thing YES i had played for 2 or 3 hr had all the norm proton pac up grades and the game never saved not 1 single dag time WTF ? is going on ?

In the Xbox version of the game, before you even get to the title screen you have to choose a save device. It's easy to go through those menus and accidentally choose "Continue without Saving." I'm not sure if that's what happens on the PS3 version too, but that could be your problem.

when my game starts up it always gives a notice that the game saves data automatically and to not turn the system off when the HDD indicator is flashing...ir u dont get this notice, u have a problem, not sure if its with ur hardware or sofeware, but if u havnt had problems with the PS3 saving things b4, i'ld check the game, it'll also be cheaper to check the game first i think, maybe u got a funky copy...

Maybe the file got corrupted? Then again the whole game would have been erased so maybe not. You obviously didn't save properly.

If you have the PS3 version I know what you're talking about. The same thing happened to me. I would play the game and save and when I went to play it again it just says start new Career. I went to check if my file still existed and it did, then when I tried again it worked. I've noticed whenever this happens if you go and check your memory for the file then load your career and some how it works.
