New Physics Engine |
|
According to PC Gamer (and other sources), the physics engine is taking a new turn with Z Axis control that allows for jumping, swimming, sliding, climbing, flying, etc. which should greatly improve and ease exploration and fleeing from tough combat.
So with this improvement announced what exactly do you guys want to see in GW 2 that you could not do in GW 1? It doesn't just have to be about movement either, I mean it could be something like "Being able to jump on top of treetops and slide down the trunk" to "Being able to shoot an arrow through a fire spell and having it set the arrow of fire causing it to do more damage." You know, interactions with the environment. What I would like to see is the ability to interact with the environment in ways that involve using spells and to manipulate elements. Turning lakes into ice using water magic, unfreezing it with fire spells, knocking over trees with earth magic, zapping water with air magic and doing half damage to anyone in the water, etc. ------------------- Read my blog on a very pressing matter if you want to live...Reading it yet? I like the idea of being able to swim away from enemies but then what if your ideas come true and someone freezes the lake? Would I be stuck and freeze together?

I guess you'd die and respawn if that happened. I'd be happy with just swimming, jumping, flying maybe, the staple things in MMO's. As long as it's an open world game except PVP and instances and raids like in other MMO's then I'm happy.

Better yet, the altered environment can be altered by the environment.
Does that make any sense? IE, the frozen lake can be unfrozen by not only burning it with a spell, but by the sun if it is a hot area in the map. I'm 99.9% sure that won't be included, but hey! ------------------- ![]() ![]()

Personally I'd like to see rideable mounts.
I'll admit that that's the ONE that WoW has that I like. Imagine going on guild hoseback riding retreats or leading a squad of guildies on dragons into battle. *shivers* Makes me wet just thinking about it. -------------------
