IronClad's Sins of a Solar Empire game earned the #3 spot in Wired's Top PC Games of 2008 roundup! Ironically, the list they didn't make is of the 10 most pirated games of 2008.

But, to celebrate their #3 spot, we took five Collector's Edition copies down to their office and had them signed by the team. We're going to be giving them away, along with IronClad t-shirts and copies of the Entrenchment expansion, very soon! (translation: the contest guy is outta the office until Friday...)

These things are so packed full of cool stuff you have no idea how close it came to being FOUR copies.

lol! I've already played through this game forwards and backwards, and I'm still finding the odd bit which I really wasn't expecting.

Cool news, though! Completely plan to leap on a chance for that Entrenchment expansion, haha!

Maybe Jones would be willing to make it a three-way and kick both our butts. =P

Can't wait to hear what it is, but won't likely be able to do anything until Wednesday if it's some sort of contribution contest. Either way, looking forward to hearing how and if I'll have a chance at it. =D

Yeah, I bought this game right as the contest went up, d'oh! Oh well, this is pretty fun so far, but a bit confusing for beginners.

It is a bit confusing because there are a LOT of different elements which you are trying to tie together and use at the same time, especially in early game where you are trying to build your fleet, defenses, technologies, and empires which very limited and slowly growing resource amounts in the beginning.
