How about the 'Educational Forum'? Similar name, and surprisingly doesn't have the same connotations as Education.

Apologies for failing to respond to your PM P_L, been busy the last couple of days. Anyway, my take on the situation is that I agree the forum could do with a better name, but I think we need to resist the temptation to try and think of a witty intellectual title, and I definately think that the latin titles for one would be detrimental to the forum. Out of the options in that list I think Pursuit of Knowledge is perhaps the best.

However I must say that if I'm totally honest, I was always rather fond of Academia, the name initially proposed back in the original suggestion thread over in RFS. I feel that the title gives a slightly broader overview and a perhaps more "high brow" feeling, without being too abstract or pretentious. So if I may be so bold, I would request that this also be put into consideration.

I agree, don't really like any of them. And I almost laughed at Palace of Athena.

I don't think that a pretentious name would draw more people into the forum. I mean, they'll probably click "Palace of Athena" just to see what it is, but this pretty much is an "Education" forum, and people won't continue to come here if that isn't what they're coming for.

Agreed. I don't mind Education but I can see why it probably needs to be changed and Academia or The Pursuit of Knowledge are probably the ones that will only be beneficial to the forum.

I like Sapientia, Rome's name Creative Minds, or maybe Greater Learning forum.

Besides that, maybe just leave it at Education.

If I need one vote, I vote on Creative Minds.

Academia for sure. It's the only thing that fits the forum but doesn't sound pretentious.
