Is there perhaps a general Silent Hill forum? Sadly, once games die, people move on... to other series or sequels... and so on. It might be impossible to revive this forum, but if there was a general Silent Hill forum, the discussion and activity would most likely be stable. (Though I do miss the group of rag-tag posters in Silent Hill, that I do. ;-; ) If it doesn't exist, then perhaps we could send in a special request. There are SH games across the sony consoles, and the like... Movies and visual novels/comics too. It would be rather beneficial to actually have a general forum, in my opinion. ^-^

I know there's a survival horror forum, but... I couldn't care less about Resident Evil. D;

That forum is nice and all, but we can't fanboy about Silent Hill as much as we like to. ;-;

If not, we could write creepy letters to all the former members telling them that we're waiting for them in Silent Hill. 8D

Well, I'm always open to reply to a thread, even on dead forums. Maybe we can ask Redemption for a Silent Hill General Forum if it doesn't exist already?

I think we can PM him or send him an E-mail. I guess PM is the best option for us. If I'm not busy, I'll leave a message on his PM box later at night. Who knows? Maybe he will reply in a week or two...

I think before we ask, we should at least gather a number of members who show interest in such a thing. Maybe the members who participate in the other Silent hill forums, or people whom we know are fond of the game. If the interest is there, then I'd wager it's a good idea. The subject content would never run out due to the spanning of the franchise... new games and story content with each push. Once again, a more stable community as a result. XD


Redemption is busy, so I wouldn't want to bother him with the sudden whim of three or so members. XD



I'm not sure... maybe posting a thread in the Requests and feedback forum? If we can present a compelling argument and reveal the substantial member-interest, then things might move in favor of a general forum. Arguing against the survival horror forum, I think the forum-focus of a general Silent Hill area would prove to be quite a bit different.


With all of the thought-provoking plots and intertwining characters, I grow giddy with the thought of being able to broaden subjects into theory threads that take elements from all the games. (looove theory threads. XD)

Hah thanks for the PM Eileen. I love the idea of a General Silent Hill forum, love the series to bits. So much so that I'm cosplaying PH this weekend at a convention XD.

But yeah, how do we get it started? I have Redemption on MSN, when he comes back from being Away, I'll ask him about it. ^^

SH does kinda fit into survival horror, as do other stray games like Obscure, Siren, Clock Tower, Cold Fear, Resident Evil (the ones that have a horror element anyway), Fatal Frame, and others. As it goes, general SH talk could easily fit in that forum to attract people to the series. Then again, the series is large enough (six games, virtual comic UMD, comic line, soundtracks, movie, etc) to survive to an extent in a general forum. Yas can suggest it here > RFS.

Yes, that may be so, however.... From the scope of Silent Hill and Silent Hill fans, there are also countless other topics and other games that they'll be buried underneath. It's not so much the immaturity of not wanting to share, but.... The survival horror forum is more of a social forum. (Hence the title? XD) This general forum, should it come to exist, would be a forum where folks could still ask questions specifically about the game, and discuss things in depth among people with the very same interests. I'd go into more detail, but I'm at school and can't attract too much attention to myself at the moment. XD Errr... I'll create the thread if you so please. (If someone beats me to it, that's fine. XD)

I greatly support this idea!
Man, I used to LOVE playing the SH Games.At 12 at night, with the lights off, and especially in the hospital in SH 4.

Anyway, A general forum sounds great!
There are 6 games for the series, and many of them go on different platforms, so it'd be genius to make one forum where we all come together!
