Tatepon: Normal sword and shield guys. The basic unit.
Yumipon: Bowing dudes. They shoot triple shots when in fever.
Yaripon: Spear-throwing unit. The first Patapons you aquire.
Kibapon: Horse-riding unit. They charge with spears.
Dekapon: Large melee fighters. Use overbig hammers and like.
Megapon: Tuba players, who shoot sound waves at enemies.

Which is your fav? Mine are Dekapon.

Yumipons' Fever triple-shot is invincible, so they're pretty good. Kibapons are also invincible in fever, but if left without fever, they're trash. Dekapons are actually quite bad, but in a way, badass

I like Yumipon the best. Their fever triple-shot is awesome, and they aren't as susceptible to being hit as the Tatepon and Yaripon units.

I've heard when you're not in fever they're useless, so I just haven't even bothered with them yet.

Hah yeah. I love those loadscreens, so so useful.

I used tatepon for the frontline throughout but i found megapon much better when i used them for the bosses. Seem to make them flinch a lot more and dont get eaten up with the cap . Also they use range attacks so you dont have turns wasted in walking up to the boss.

My favorite unit is Megapon.

Must be exceptionally close though.
