PLEASE help. I have no fire weapons equipped on any of my groups of soldiers, yet every time I try this mission she catches on fire. I've tried switching out the groups for other groups without fire weapons, and she still catches fire. What am I doing wrong?

Then I'm guessing you also have the Divine Stew equipped as well. It causes all your weapons to have an extra bit of fire to them. Replace it with the King's Stew or something lower.

Hmm.... Is the stew game available at this point? And also, the fire weapons aren't always like the scorching weapons. Look at the weapon descriptions to see whether any normal looking weapon causes fire.

Remember to take the Rain miracle because there is a part where you need it later on in the level.

No miracles are needed this level.

I needed it.The ground turned red like the other time and killed all of my soilders the first time I did it.

The very first time in the desert you need it. But for rescuing Meden, not necessary. Just remove the Divine Stew and other fire related weapons, and you're fine.

Trust me the sign came up that said I needed it.

Seriously? I didn't even pack the Rain juju, and I went through just fine.

When i make my second play through I will try to confirm this again.

If your using kibapons, and the deflecting halberd, it's fire.

OK, use these:
Tatepons, Yaripons and Yumipons. You could use Dekapons if you want, instead of Tatepons.

BUT YOU MUST EQUIP RAIN MIRACLE JUST IN CASE SHE DOES CATCH ON FIRE OR IF YOU GET CLOSE TO THE BACKGROUND WITH THE CARCASS OF RIBS, THE GROUND WILL HEAT UP AND YOUR PATAPONS WILL FRY UP AND DIE. HA HA. AND DON'T EQUIP ANY FIRE WEAPONS. USE THE KING'S STEW, OR JUST MAKE ONE MISTAKE IN THE COOKING GAME WITH RAH GASHAPON AND SIMMER SLURP.

I am at this part now, and she will occasionally catch on fire a few times, but nothing major, just keep attacking.
And you DO need the rain miracle for one part of the lvl, but it's short, so it's not necessary for continued use.
