how do i get through it i get to the hot sand part then die

There are plenty of threads telling you how to do this. Get the rain miracle and equip it, the whilst in fever mode play the miracle beat and then a screen pops up. Follow the beat on the screen, and it will rain, preventing death through heat

see i do that and when i'm halfway through the hot part the rain goes away and then i can;t build up the beat again to get fever mode i don't think there can be real help for this though ill play MHF for the time being untill i get the guts to do it again

Don't activate the miracle until the last possible moment, and trash the rocks in your way as quick as is possible! Everybody found this bit really annoying

To get the "Rain Miracle" go to "Patata Plain" (Hunting Grounds). You'll see a pole with "Triangle, Circle, Triangle, Circle" going down it. When nearby press Triangle, Circle, Triangle, Circle and continue until you get the "Bent Compass".

This will unlock a new mission where you have to fight, a bigger and tougher "Dodonga", the "Majidonga". Defeat it and your reward is the "Rain Miracle"
