Anyone else find this game insanely hard even on easy? I mean, I have read some reviews that people said its easy, and they can pass the entire field in a straightaway....how?!?!

I have the best car i can get, I drive perfect..i cut the corners i can cut, I rarely let off the gas (trigger pressed fully down, unless a corner requires different)..Yet i can't keep up... As soon as I hit straigh track everyone who was behind me will pass me unless i cut them off. I only get a chance to pass people in front when they slow for corners and i don't. and this is on the easiest it can be on. (and no, its not because i suck at racing... I have no issues with Forza, PGR, Dirt, etc.)


What am i doing wrong?

I think its just a case of over taking the pack at the begining. try gettign in another cars slip stream. once ive over taken them all I have no problems.

I actually think i found out a main problem... (besides that beginning pack thing... Thats a pain too.).

I have the beginning of carpel tunnel in my Accelerator wrist(Thanks forza 2), So after not too long of holding down the right trigger, my hand goes numb and i guess i let off the accelerator a little. I realized this when I was in a race, and pressed harder, and actually had the ability to pass people. It's kind of odd that I have no issues in other racing games, except grid. I guess theirs just not a lot of room for mistakes in grid.


Anyways, Thanks for the response! I guess I will start looking for a Steering wheel to use instead of the controller.

I have a wheel I've been trying to get rid of but haven't bothered putting it on ebay.

You should turn into corners,
And remeber to break.
Also you should let go of acelerate if you feel your going to far out.
I find it very hard too,
Espeically the koinsegg and lambourghini races for other teams.
Also i find drifts impossible

Yea, i just finished a race with the koinsegg, it was a pain...But i managed.

The funny thing is, My friend that rarely plays racing games... is a pro at the drifting in Grid. He tried it the day i got it, and now he cant stop playing the drifting parts.. He always wins. His highest drifting combo score (without hitting a wall that is, He had a higher one but ended up clipping a wall with it.) is 3.8 million.

Lol i cant do that race, so i gave up lol.
Got better, my best race type is probably F1 or muscle,

lol. I did one with the Koinsegg CCX with out too much trouble....But i just used the Koinsegg CCXGT, and i came in 4th with massive damage and no replays left. hahaha.


I'm pretty good at most the american races, and the euro ones too. For some reason, i always fail in japan though, even on the regular racing.

I think my best type would be muscle and Pro-Tune or whatever its called. For some reason, I am unstoppable in the Dodge Viper. haha

Haha Same my rep in Japan is like 20k and in america like 50k but in europe like 160k lol

it depends what youre driving style is.

The only bit Ive found hard in this game is the drifting
other games i fly around when but I'm drifting on Grid i just crash.
