re: Overheating

May be you played COD all morning then stick Vegas in right after it without it being cooled and you dont have a cooler.

Most third-party brand coolers make the situation worse and you don't really need one. Also, placing it in a good position is just common sense TBH.

re: Overheating

Not to crush your spirits, but the overheating is more than likely a sign that the 3RLOD is coming to your console soon. Very rarely, if ever, will a game make your console not function properly. I have repaired over 20 360's from the 3RLOD, so I know what I am saying (its in my career field).

The reason this came to my attention was because I had a console that had those symptoms before. It powered on fine, but once a game was put in it would overheat in minutes. Then it went to 3RLOD a couple weeks later, and then I repaired it as usual, now its been working for almost a year flawlessly.

re: Overheating

kimmace, u dont know what your talking about, if u read his thread at all he said that he plays cod4 just fine, but thats all u can expect from some1 who plays runscape, but id agree with the strain of new tech on the xbox hardware, i guess theres a reason that on the pc cod4 runs smoothly and on almost any system thats not totally like the ultimate gaming machine the fps goes out the window in a fire fight
