I was wondering if there was a driver or something that would alow me to play Ultimate Doom on XP. I tried running it on dos shell but it runs all messed up with slowdown and bad sound. I have a dos boot disc but my lap top has no
3 1\2 flopp drive. My friend has a driver like that for quake and i wanted to see if there was one for doom.

If you want to run any Doom game or official Doom engine games like HeXen or Heretic, download a Windows source port for the game. All you need is the main wad file and the source port program and you are set to go. The source ports implement new features to the game like mouse look and crosshairs. The source port I would recommend would be JDoom because that enhances the graphics whether you are using OpenGL or Direct 3D. It also has support for 3D models so you could download the model pack and Doom looks like a modern game. Hopefully this helps. If you have any other Doom questions, I'm a guy to ask.
