how can this be improved.

my friend recently got a sony bravia lcd tv and he told me he wanted to hook it up to his PC. he's kinda uneducated when it comes to this kinda thing. so i got a svideo cable and connected it. the quality looks like holy crap. what can be done about it?

Does the TV have a VGA, DVI, or HDMI input? If it has one of those, you can easily hook up the computer that way for a better picture. VGA would probably be the most common and easiest way.

VGA would probably be the easiest, since most video cards have it, and most HDTV's have one. All you will need for that is a VGA cable.

S-Video really isn't good for transmitting high resolution signals at all (is it even capable?). You need to first ensure that you have a good resolution and then I'd invest in a DVI cable to run from your monitor to the TV for the best image quality.

If its new Brava then it should have the VGA input, select the PC input on your tv and hook up as others have said via the VGA/DVI cable...

Quality was pants on mine too via the S-Video
