quote the slayerI'm pretty sure they don't. I think production costs for plasma as well as performance is better at 32" or larger. Other than high end name brand sets though I don't think they even make 20" HDTVs for $500 anymore. Well, is there any good quality TV/Picture I can get for such a low price without going overboard on the size? I live in a dorm, so I don't have much space to work with... -------------------

What is the maximum space you can work with? Width, height, and depth would be good since most sites list those dimensions as well. You might be able to get more than you thought. ------------------- ![]() Education Forum|Books & Literature Forum

Well, then beleive it or not you can actually get a 25" TV. Of course it has to have an under mounted speaker. The side mounted speakers will make it to wide. Unfortunately Newegg has nothing I would bother with. And it also seems that 23" is the industry standard and you can't get a 24 or 25 inch. Which is kind of weird. ------------------- ![]() Education Forum|Books & Literature Forum

That is rather odd... I always wondered why the sizes were determined so.. randomly. So I could possibly get a standard 23" TV? -------------------

You mean SDTV? Well yeah. But I would get the HDTV anyway. Just remember you have to get an undermounted speaker model. ------------------- ![]() Education Forum|Books & Literature Forum

You could just go with a 24" HDTV and be fine. Newegg will have a lot of models to choose from. Samsung and sony have some good tv's too. quote Inuyasha19Theres no mod here to close this thread ------------------- Sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes, well, he eats you.

quote the slayerI tried but my controls seem to be disabled here... I checked Newegg they only have 23 and 26 inch LCDs. There is no 24 or 25 inch as far as I can tell. Can't imagine why unless either they don't make them or they are just out of stock. ------------------- ![]() Education Forum|Books & Literature Forum

Hmm, I just figured that since they have 24" computer monitors, that they would have 24" Tv's. I dont think I've even seen a 23" computer monitor... ------------------- Sometimes you eat the bar, and sometimes, well, he eats you.
