	ok,I sent my wife to the store to get a hdmi cable to run from my up-convert dvd player to my 42"lcd tv.plugged it up does not work.(she went to walmart and spent $10. on a cable)could it be the cable,dvd player ot tv? ------------------- dfi lt p35 c2d e8400(4gig 445x9) xfx 8800gt alphadog 512 2 gig corsair xms2 thermaltake toughpower 750 psu antec 900 case

	It could be any of them. try another cable. Honestly 10 dollars is very cheap for an HDMI cable and its probably low quality. I know I had to pay approx 60 bucks for my HDMI cable, and I got what is considered a low end one. Make sure your using the correct input channel, for ex video 6 or whatever the HDMI one is. 	I have 2 hdmi ports on my tv and they show up as hdmi 1 and hdmi2.I do not have another cable but can get one from a friend.(did not think that far)thanks tried another cable this afternoon and it works.Bad cable was all.
