HDMI Cable Problem |
|
I recently got an HDMI cable for my Wii after purchasing a 47" LCD 1080p. I have a situation though. ------------------- ![]()

The Wii does not support 1080p resolution, or anything beyong 480p for that matter. ------------------- ![]()

So what your saying is that I cannot play my Wii on my new TV, in it's true form? ------------------- ![]()

In short, no. There is no "true form" for the Wii as it doesn't support HD resolutions. The closest thing to your "true form" would be 480p. ------------------- ![]()

re: HDMI Cable Problem |
quote Jak66HDMI carries audio and video along a single port. You do not have a HDMI cable, but rather a component video cable. You should be able to get 480p (EDTV) output from the Wii just fine. Ensure all you're placing the outputs into the right ports. Note that Red/Green/Blue carries video while Red/White is stereo sound. You might be confusing the two red coloured outputs with one another! Also, in the Wii's settings menu, make sure you've activated both the widescreen and 480p modes. Let us know how it all goes. ------------------- ![]() Win 007: QoS, CoD5, Lego Batman, Castlevania, FM2009, Mirror's Edge, Infinite Undiscovery...

You should just settle for the Component cables. Even if you picked up some kind of cable to us your TV's HDMI port with the Wii, it's only going to go as great as the analog end which is all the Wii supports. -------------------
