Technosonic HD Ready 32 Inch LCD Widescreen TV

Has anyone got one of these TV's?

If so would you be able to tell me if it is a quality TV as I am looking for something that will do for HD Gaming so it will need to offer quality from an up close view. It will also be used for standard TV/DVD so the quality will also be the same I assume but would you be able to inform me a bit on that as well.

Thankyou.

re: Technosonic HD Ready 32 Inch LCD Widescreen TV

Don't have any personal experience with the tv but I just did a bit of reading around on some other forums (if you want the link drop me pm), and it seems to have mixed reviews, a lot of people commend it for the price and whilst it obviously won't stand up to higher end models it seems to have positive comments. Though there seems to be some issues with reliability, it seems a though a lot of members have had real problems.

If watching close up for gaming I'd recommend a smaller screen size to be honest. What sort of viewing distance are you talking about?

I honestly use a 22" LCD monitor for my gaming and it works great. Almost no motion blur, and from the distance I sit (around 5 ft away) it's just the right size.

Would it be possible you to post the link to them reviews please Spinx.

I will be around 3-5 meters away for viewing purposes though this can be extended but a meter or two more.

I might have a look into a smaller HD but atm for the price (£230/$458) on this I wish to see if this is worth it but I will keep that in mind ^^.

3-5 meters is a decent distance, so you may want to go in the 26-32" range. 720p is a decent resolution at that size, and I'd recommend Toshiba if you're looking for particular brands.

Thanks for that advice Moonrise and I will definitely be looking around that size and also more on the Toshiba Flatscreens. I have only really looked at this and Samsung LCs before >_<

re: Technosonic HD Ready 32 Inch LCD Widescreen TV

Realistically you'll probably need to stretch your budget to £400+ to get a a 32" LCD from one of the big brands.

In the latest issue of Home Cinema Choice (I'm such a nerd) there is a run down of their top ten 32" LCDs. The highest rated are have high prices to match, but some of cheaper options came in with positive reviews too. The Sony KDL32S300 (my TV ) which is available on Amazon for about £440, the Toshiba 32AV505DG also did well but is a bit more expensive, average seems to be around £470. The Samsung LE-32R87BDX also scored well, and I've seen it advertised for £400 which is a steal.
