LCD, DLP, or Plasma? |
|
Well I have been appointed the fun task of finding a new HD-TV for my dad when we move. My main problem now is deciding on if I should go LCD, Plasma, or DLP. ------------------- <Ren> 181 stabbings have taken place at my hands

DLP isn't bad, but you need to consider the room you'll be using the set in before you come to a decision. If you get any glare in the room or direct sunlight, you definitely don't want a DLP and a Plasma may not be a good idea (the protective glass reflects light like a bitch). LCD is, overall, the best choice in my opinion but you can see that's also reflected in the price. Large LCD sets will typically have a 120Hz screen refresh rate, eliminating motion blur. However, Plasma screens have deeper colors and image burn isn't an issue like it used to be. -------------------

Not to mention DLP is EXTREMELY fragile since it uses mirrors to project the images.
