Nufcbiggestfan, that's a good question and I have always wondered the same thing. Honestly, the only thing I can come up with is that I think this is a leftover effect from the massive popularity of the PS2 last generation. Last gen, the PS2 forums were always slamming busy, particuarly compared to the XBox forums. So while the 360 is arguably winning the console war (at least to date)n a lot of the gamers from last gen are still here, and the site hasn't yet caught on in popularity for the masses of MS fans.

Other than that, your guess is as good as mine.

This poll has really opened my eyes. I would never have guessed that the PS3 would have more owners then the 360 in this forum. I predicted something like a 3/1 ratio for the 360 but it seems the PS3 is more popular then I imagined.

Well, now it's 31 and 27, but I disagree with your surprise. In fact, I am surprised that the PS3 is not the 3:1 ratio. The reason is that while more people own the 360, this is the sub forum of a PS3 GTA forum. While it appears in all the GTA forums, you have to remember that Neoseeker is a site that has far more SONY/Playstation owners posting that MS/XBox owners. It always has. In addition, GTA is far more well known in the Playstation community than the XBox community. So I would expect a higher ratio of PS3 owners in this community. Also, you have to remember that the PS3 has been selling a lot better lately, so that is bound also contribute to the greater number of PS3 owners.

Like I said though, the main factor is the fact that even though GTA IV is being released on both platforms, the series still has a huge tie to the Playstation community. Notice how many people here don't have either console, but yet post anyway? You will find that MOST of these people are from the SA, VC and III forums and don't yet have a console to play the game on. I would be willing to bet that if ALL of them had the console of their choice, that the ratio would be at least double favoring the PS3.
