What's going on? NFS: ProStreet recently destroyed the NFS series because of the lack of free roam like previous games. GTA: IV seems to be getting very bad impressions and may destroy the GTA series. What will happen? Will the next NFS/GTA go back to the traditional gameplay in their next game or try to improve the "newer" version?

Why do you say that IV is destroying the series? Have you played it? The fact is that people like myself and igotfired are in the MINORITY. I think mostly the game is receiving the highest praise. I also think that people like me just need to get used to it, and that once we do, it will be fine.

I see what you mean. However, re-read that thread. Most of the people either really like it or are getting used to it. Mnmfan in particular. I think only igotfired and myself are having any serious problems enjoying the game. Again, I am pretty sure this means I have to get used to it, NOT that the game itself is bad.

I am having serious problems with it. Been playing it most of the day and it's one of the worst games I've ever played.

I'm playing it atm trying my best to enjoy it but it's so boring and such a let down.

Why?? The game has been getting nothing but 10's across the board with one or two high 9's thrown in. 99% of the GTA fans seem to love the game and are praising it to high heaven.

the game is brilliant.. every other minute you see a beautiful little feature and its like wow.... have i got a different copy to you all?

There are so many little, realistic touches that make this game absolutely freaking insane in terms of scope.

How can people not like GTA IV it one of the best games to come out on a next gen console.

Not to mention, even Gamespot gave GTA 4 a 10/10. It's the first 10 they gave out in 7 years! I haven't played it yet, so I can't give any of my own opinions. I agree with you about NFS: ProStreet though. Most Wanted and Carbon were much better.

I don't like GTA IV either... I got bored with it too fast, I haven't played since last night and todays my off day... I've never been bored of any GTA game, this is the first time for me... But maybe it's due to me playing 11 hours straight...

I set my controls back to standard play, and I've gotten the hang of it and I still don't like the controls... Don't let me get started on the multiplayer system, it's too generic and standard and I'm bored with that too... And another thing is it me or is this city too small? Haha, how can Brooklyn be so close to Manhattan? Seriously, I think I'm done with GTA IV for a while...

Don't tell me how the graphics are so indeph and the physics are out of this world because I already know thay... But seriously I'd take the San Andreas graphics with a bigger map any day... And last but not least, I'm ticked because we have all this huge ass buildings in the game, and you can't even enter one... What's with that?

I guess, I am the minority here, here's hoping Saints Row 2 can bring my excite for the sandbox genre back.
