The way I see it, GTA IV is obviously hit or miss. I mean, while the game has gotten heaps more realistic, Rockstar also took out things which were fundamental in the older games, and which the gamers have been used to. Like the dude above me shows, people I guess aren't used to those huge buildings, lack of free-roaming large spots, etc. As well as the whole taxi/bus thingies which can bother some people.. I don't know.

I mean Rockstar said at the beginning they were gonna make big changements for GTAIV, somehow I knew that wouldn't sit well with everyone. It's really a hate or love thing.

Out of the games I've played on next-gen Most wanted was by far the best. Carbon and PS were both poor.

I set my controls back to standard play, and I've gotten the hang of it and I still don't like the controls... Don't tell me how the graphics are so indeph and the physics are out of this world because I already know thay... But seriously I'd take the San Andreas graphics with a bigger map any day... I guess, I am the minority here, here's hoping Saints Row 2 can bring my excite for the sandbox genre back.

I enjoy it way more than I probably thought I would. I was expecting playing the game when friends were over just like SA. Well, now that there is online free play, I don't see how they game sucks. You can have a 6* warrent with your friends and have a mass riot basically with 16 people total. I had one yesterday.

i havent found too many buildings to enter, i was expecting a lot, and i heard a lot of buildings we could enter but i dont care the game is amazing !

I think its stupid people criticising online play, when its the first GTA to ever have it, and GTA IV is mainly a single player game. I just can't see how people can critisise some of the online gameplay, would you rather be able to play with some friends online in the whole city messing around, or do the same on your own like in previous genres.

This is mainly aimed at isa too, but like wtf, you have a go at not being able to enter buildings but you couldn't do that on San Andreas either. Liberty City isn't New York, just based on it, so it doesn't matter where differen't areas are placed.

But yeah, if you don't like it then fair enough, but I think its amazing.

The future of GTA depends on how EA deal with it.

Most industry analysts say that EA's take over is inevitable. This could have a big impact on the series if they intefere too much.

Having said this in 2007 EA's average international review score was 7.1.
Vivendi's was 6.8.
Activisions was 6.2.

I know these figures don't include Take 2 but a 7.1 average international review score is pretty good compared with its competitors. So maybe it won't be all doom and gloom.

I think GTA IV is a great game but it can be a bit too slow and stop and start. I have only played it my mates for now so obviously i'm only speaking from limited experience.
