I was talking about this with a few friends today and whilst I don't entirely agree that they're are ghosts and such, i'm inclined to believe that i've had a few 'encounters' with something or other.
Not long after my Grandad had died I had a dream where I was speaking on the phone to him. We had a good chat and I got the impression he was very happy. At the end of our conversation I said goodbye and just as I was about to put the phone down he said to me, 'One more thing, i'm not on the phone'......Then I awoke and had a great feeling running through me.
Now, I don't know whether this was his way of letting me know that he's okay or whether it was simply a dream. I don't know and I don't want to know. I'm happy just to let it be. Anyway, what are your opinions on the subject and do you have any ghostly tales to tell.....? Do you believe?

To a certain extent I do believe in the supernatural. I believe all the stories my dad told me about my granpa in Mexico. He told me that once my granpa was sleeping inside a tent to protect a construction site, then like at midnight he heard like if rocks were being thrown at his tent so he got outside to check it out and there was nothing at all. Then it continues so he goes outside again with his machete (he thought it was some people trying to steal stuff) and there is nothing again. So he tries to go to sleep and he hears one of the most horrible cries ever so he gets up and checks it out and this time he sees some white figure that appears to be a woman in a dress crying. So he goes back in the tent and waits for it to pass and then in the morning he resigns the job. Turns out the construction site had been a place where some womam had died with her kids. There are a bunch of supernatural stories that my dad has told me about him and his dad. I will only share one more; he told me that when he was around 15-16 years old that he was at a carnival and that it got really late like 11:00 in the night and that he hated that he had to head back home by himself. So he had to take a route that was dark and covered by trees along the way and then he came to this one place where he saw a man in chains and that his horse came to a brutal stop and started sniffing hard and trying to throw him off so he had to go back and take a longer route, then he told his parents and apparently some bad people hanged a guy with a chain around his ncek to a tree. Well that is it for me.

Well Jehovah's Witnesses believe that ghosts are really demons.They also believe that if you open a bible in the area of a ghost/demon, the ghost/demon will leave.Also something to do with saying Jehovah God will do the same thing.

Now though I don't follow my mothers religion, I sometimes wonder if what they believe is true.Also if I were to be scared by a ghost/spirit, I would actually try those things.

But anyway, I do believe in the supernatural.In fact I love stuff to do with the supernatural.

Because of this, I would NEVER do a seance as I believe there is a chance that you could become possessed or let evil spirits out.

Well I believe anything is possible so they could be real. Then again I haven't seen any so im not worried.

Edit: It was last night I wrote the first line, I obviously wasn't in the right frame of mind then. So with that I take back what I stated, none of those are even comparable to Chiro's in-depth essays. I would only think he's the only one capable of such detail.</sub>

I don't believe in ghosts, possesions or anything similar.

I've had a couple of unexplainable things happen to me but they were both at night so i'm inclined to believe that it was my imagination getting carried away.

I look at it from a scientific view point and i can't even see how it's possible.

I don't believe in ghosts or aliens etc... I find it kinda stupid tbh (no offence to people who do believe). The fact that you can have thigns you cant see floating around is just too much. The same for aliens.

I've had an "experience," or what could have been one. I was walking from my house to a church up the road from me. I was meeting a girl there to talk to her about some things. Oh, and for the record this happened in the daytime. I don't walk that road at night. There are no streetlights and it looks like Sleepy Hollow. Anyway as I walked up the road, a figure dressed in all black emerged from the woods adjacent to the road. This startled me because those woods are extremely thick, full of thorns and vines and tons of undergrowth. I don't know why someone would be down there for any reason. The figure wasn't a silhouette, I could make out clothes, but they were different. It just didn't look right to me. It walked across the road and didn't even bother to notice me. It then went up the embankment and into the churchyard. I have an extremely curious nature, so I followed it at a distance. But when I went up the embankment and poked my head around to look, it wasn't there anymore. Confused, I walked into the churchyard and met the girl I was seeing. She was sitting near the entrance of the churchyard when I met her. When I asked her if seen anyone, she replied she hadn't. To this day I haven't seen this again despite walking that road many times since. I'm not sure what it was, and it's been nagging me a bit lately. Weird?

No. I can't think of a reason why but I just don't believe in things like that.

Overall I'd say no, although my mum; dad & big brother are all dead and at times I've felt a strange presence in a room but I think thats all in the mind.

Although nothing supernatural has ever happened to me personally, I do believe ghosts and the like exist. My dad has had some supernatural experiences from when he was a teenager. He was sleeping in the spare room, and he woke up to see the ghostly figure of an old man sitting in the corner... he was just sitting and staring. The next morning, he described the old man, and the description matched that of the old guy who owned the house previously, and had died there.

Fair enough for ghosts, but it is IMPOSSIBLE for aliens not to exist.

I believe in ghosts as well. Me and my friend were out walking through some stricklands once and we saw this dog in front of us. It was barking and whining and kept running in one direction, then looking at us, then running ahead a bit, then looking at us etc.

It was also a really smart dog, it avoided puddles and thorns.

Anyway, we were following it for a bit and this mist came across and the dog walked behind us. We turned round, and in that split-second, it'd gone.

I have a friend that can see ghosts.Also I think it's someone in his family (I guess it would be him) that attracts ghosts or maybe even one ghost that follows the family.Every house they ever move into has ghosts.He has seen ghosts of family and pets.

My sister even saw one once.She was over there when she saw one of their cats run past.When she told him she saw the cat, he said that that cat wasn't alive anymore.She was still a child then but with our mother being a Jehovah's Witness, we didn't believe in ghosts.

someone search the amityville house in google and find the pic of the boy standing in the doorway.

what happened was they put a camera in one place in the haunted house, and at random times during the day it would fire off 20 shots one after another. in one of these shots you can clearly see a boy standing i a doorway, and he isnt there in the other pics. everyone on the site was questioned and noone had a child

That's all a superstitious load of bullshit. Like that "Bloody Mary" thing? Bullshit. Trust me, I've tried many of these thingamijagers and they don't work for shit. Sorry, but its the truth. I honestly don't understand why people waste their time making photos of so-called ghosts and videos of them being "attacked" by a poltergeists, etc. You can obviously tell their fake. It just astounds me that people waste their time on that crap. Pardon my french.
