If Larxiz or whatever his name is wants to be in the interview so badly, why not let him conduct the thing? Then not only will he feel important and special and all that jazz, but he might stop protesting so much that he can't be interviewed too!

You have a valid point, Gex, and the truth is that this forum is not so busy that interviewing someone who has never been a part of the community would hurt the forum in any way. The truth is, though, my "attention whore" bells are going off, and I have to wonder why someone would waltz into the forum and want to be interviewed by a bunch of people he met like 30 seconds ago online. I join forum sites other than Neo sometimes, and if there was a social aspect to a forum I joined a day or two ago, not only would I not ask to be interviewed, but if someone there asked me to do it, I would be like, "WTF? Why would you people even want to know more about me when you haven't even posted with me for more than a day or two?"

I just think it makes a mockery out of something that is already of questionable value in a forum that is nowhere near as busy as this one used to be.

Not to mention the fact that I am pretty sure this new guy is someone we already know logging on from a different IP address than his or her normal one so I won't know who it is when I do an IP scan.

All the more reason to let them do it. There's no doubt that the person's an attention whore Chiro - don't tell me you're really only just having an attention whore alarm going off (I already called the fire department on that one if you didn't, don't worry)? Throw the guy a bone, especially if it's someone under another name then they clearly have been around for a while so there's really nothing being hurt per se anyway.
