	Think about it rationally. If the ads didn't benefit the site, why would Red keep them? Anyways, they help pay for the site. ------------------- happy holidays

	I don't have any problems with the ads. I don't seems to get the ones that cover your screen when you mouse over them, or I am really bad at finding them and the little banner ads aren't very obtrusive. -------------------

	As the site grows bigger and bigger, it requires more bandwidth as well as more maintenance. The fact is that this site is not some glorified hobby, and it needs to generate revenue, AT LEAST enough to pay for its own operating costs. The ads are necessary and bring in money which, in turn, allows the site to remain free to all of the members. I think that this is an excellent trade off. ------------------- It's official. 	I've never even noticed them. I think Firefox blocks them, so get it. But can't you turn them off yourself if you don't like them? I thought that was an option? Honestly, I've seen sites with much worse ads than this. For example, I can hardly see how Myspace, which has hundreds of millions of members but is run by just 300 people needs to be clogged with annoying loud ads.
