I agree. We can have a Hurt/Heal if you guys want, but GTA_Fanatic is right. There really would be little point in continuing the interviews when the forum is not that active.

I think GTA_Fanatic was giving his opinion, not making a decision. I think a Hurt and Heal thread would be cool. I nearly won one of them once. I was 6 points ahead with only one other guy left. He miraculously won though.

I was thinking about making a GTA Social Forum awards thread. There are several categories and people can vote who, that frequently participates in this forum, deserves to win that category. Yay? Nay?

There aren't really that many people left in the social forum, which does indeed suck. I've not even been lurking here for the past few months, and I'm not sure if I plan on hanging around long term either.

I think that the main reason is the dismal failure of GTA IV in terms of its universal appeal to the GTA community and the lack of GTA fans interested enough to get their asses into the forums. It's a real freaking shame too. Had we created a GTA Social Forum when III, VC, and SA were in their respective heydays, the place would have been slamming busy. The fact is that with San Andreas having run its course, and GTA IV not garnering the interest of the GTA community anywhere near the way previous titles have, it is a given that this forum is comparatively dead.

The only hope we have for this forum becoming insanely busy, like it should be, is if GTA V greatly exceeds expectations and sucks the hardcore fanbase back into the community like the previous games did. I can PROMISE YOU right now that if Rockstar puts out a GTA title that is anywhere near as popular as any of the PS2 titles (by that I mean III, VC, and SA) that this forum will be SLAMMING busy.

So let's all cross our fingers for GTA: Next.
