It's essentially a blog site really, essentially a method of publishing stuff to the internet. It's also free, you can choose to have a free account or one with ads on it for free (they have extra features or something if you have ads, you can upgrade whenever if you choose to later too), or there are paid accounts as well. Tbqh the paid accounts aren't worth it at all, I'd just go with one of the free ones that suits your purposes.

If you do set one up, drop me a PM and I'll add you on mine. I really don't use my LJ for much of anything anymore, just a place to shove stuff that I have no other place for (or if I want to leave a message for a good friend of mine that I hardly get to see irl anymore), but I'd like to read your stuff.

Cool! Okay I just created the account, but haven't done anything with it. So you guys just add ChiroVette and I will accept your friend request ASAP. I have obviously not done anything with the account yet and will likely not post anything until abit later on, though. Maybe I will post chapter one in an hour or two.

Edit: Is it me or is the site where MS has the Journal absurdly slow?? The pages just take forever to load!

Edit2: How do you set your privacy settings so ONLY people on my friends list can view my profile and/or entries? I cannot seem to find that in the account or privacy options. It seems limited to only censoring comments and such.

If you go to the "Account" link next to your username on the LJ main page (next to a little arrow thingy), you will be brought to your account settings. There will be a Privacy tab, go there and the very first option "Default security entry" which allows you to either have it available to the public (everyone), friends only, or just to yourself.

Edit: Okay, Gex, do me a favor if you will. I want to see if I did this right and made my page private. Can you please go to my profile before I add you as a friend and make sure that you cannot see my entries? This way I can be sure that it is truly set for private and only friends can view my writing. Thanks!

Okay, WTF is wrong with that site? My connection keeps timing out every time I try to access it. I was trying to add you, Gex, but it would not let me. Before it would time out sometimes, but now the damned site keeps crapping out no matter what I clock on.

Nope, can't see it, sorry. Maybe it's your internet, try resetting it. I have problems with timing out with certain sites sometimes when I need to reset my net connection.

My connection is fine. Every other site loads without any problems. Weird, I will try this again and see what happens.

Edit: Okay Gex, try it now. You should be able to see my first chapter. Oh and I hate the format of the site in terms of writing. I wish it appeared as it does in MSWord, like a real manuscript. lol
