Cockiness is Catching Up
Frick waited in his room with his 5 pokemon, Gligar, Golbat, Magby, Aipom and Squirtle, he was planning the next gym battle in his head, he had heard that Jasmine uses Steel a rare and newly discovered type, he knew absolutly nothing about it, he didn't know what was strong against it or what was weak to it. He decided to walk around the bout, he found some newbie trainers with Pidgeys and Sentrets which he easily beat with his new Magby, it was really strong, made him feel even cockier. Finally the ferry had reached Olivine, Frick headed towards the gym, he was feeling really good and bursted through the door, ready to fight
"Jasmine, I'm Frick and i challenge you for the 6th gym badge, go Aipom"
"Hmm fine, you must know nothing about Steel types go Steelix"
"Aipom start off with double hit"
Aipom raced towards Steelix and smacked it with his tail, he didn't even hit twice since he hurt his tail with the first hit

Yeh he's going to lose this battle i can tell now .

OON: dang it's too obvious, well you never know he could pull it out

Frick vs Jasmine 3vs3 Steel Woes
"Aipom are you alright" asked Frick
Aipom nodded and then was smacked with an iron tail and slammed against the wall, she wasn't expecting a hit, so the shock added to the damage and the slam against the wall also inflicted more damage. Aipom barely got up
"Now Steelix, use Earthquake"
Steelix just stayed where is was and shook the ground, damaging Aipom and fainting it.
"uh oh that's not good, um go Squirtle"
"Water type, ok then return Steelix and go Magnemite"
"Ok well i know that's an electric type, but you can take it Squirtle, use watergun"
"Cancel out the watergun with THunder Bolt Magnemite"
The bolt and water gun cancelled each other out just like Jasmine said
"Now use a more powerful Thunder"
"Squirtle use water gun"
that was a stupid mistake the Thunder electrified the water and grouped it with the Thunder, making the thunder more powerful it hit Squirtle and Squirtle fainted
"No, this shouldn't be happening, hmm let's go my new Magby"
"A fire type, finally you're thinking smart, well return Magnemite and go Steelix again"
"Fire must be strong against Steel, good, use ember"
Steelix has hit by the fire and damaged some but it would take more than a little ember to kill Steelix
"Hmm this Magby looks fragile, Steelix use excessive Earthquakes"
Frick had no idea how Magby could dodge the attacks, the ground began to shake violently and Magby just couldn't take it and fainted
"You know nothing about steel types, that was pathetic, you have to wait 24 hours then you can challenge me" spoke Jasmine
"Don't you worry i will be back and i will be ready, with the same pokeon too, i will show i'm the better trainer"
and with that Frick walked off

*BUMP, sorry for the lack of story yesterday but i'm here now

TRAINING BACK CONFIDENCE
Frick was feeling quite down but now he did know some more about Steel types. He began to train up his pokemon all he could, he wanted to show Jasmine he was a good trainer but winning with the same three pokemon. He released Aipom, Squirtle and Magby. He knw Aipom would do nothing with it's current moves so he went and purchased the TM BrickBreak, within a few hours Aipom had completely mastered that move. For Squirtle he just kept training him up to where he learned protect. Magby they just actually got used to eachother and he knew Magby a little better, making it's first battle a gym battle wasn't very smart. Frick had decided he was ready for this, and took a nap, when he woke up the 24 hours had passed and he could challenge Jasmine
OOC: sorry for the short post just someone comment and i'll do the first part of the battle
also i noticed the story is going to fast so i got an interresting subplot to start after this gym

Ooo, nice to see they've all recieved some training. Looking forward to the next bit!

OON: tis may be my last post for the night, i'll try to get one more and finish the fight, weekends are my party time! =-)

REMATCH FRICK VS JASMINE LESSON NOT LEARNED
Frick walked into the gym, Gligar sitting on his shoulder looking proud. Jasmine smirked when she saw him
"Back already, remember each time you lose the waiting period increases by 24 hours and it's 3 strikes and you're out, for a year atleast" Jasmine told Frick
"1 year! that's a bit harsh, but don't worry i won't lose go Aipom"
"You just don't learn, go Steelix, murder the NORMAL monkey with an iron tail"
"Aipom double team now"
Steelix took a swing at Aipom, who easily dodged it with double team, causing Steelix to Fumble, giving Aipom the perfect chance to strike
"Brick Break on it's back now!" yelled Frick
Aipom chopped it right on it's back, injuring it
"Hmm that won't stop it, Steelix wrap this annoying pest with bind"
Steelix had Aipom in a grip just like that, Aipom couldn't budge, and the fact Steelix was so big and Aipom was so small, caused even mroe damage. Frick was starting to get worried, but Aipom knew what to do, it used Brick Break on it's own, that was just enough to break Aipom free.
"Good thinking now for the last time brick break!"
"Steelix!" called out Jasmine
but it was too late, Steelix had fainted
"Fine you fainted one of my pokemon but you're still going to lose, go Magnemite"
"Show him up with a fury of Brickbreaks Aipom"
"Stop it in it's tracks with thunderwave"
Aipom was hit wit the wave and immbolized
"Now full powered thunder and don't stop until it's fainted" commanded Jasmine
Aipom had no choice but to take the attack since it couldn't move, the shock was to much for the fragile monkey and it fainted
"Not what i wanted, oh well go Squirtle"
"what, are you crazy! you really are a bad trainer" commented Jasmine

Jasmine call him a bad trainer >.< Oh she's in for it. Go Frick!

Now it's getting somewhere.

Cool story. I just have one bad comment about it...well two so here they are:
1: They seem more like game battles. Like they can only learn four moves, they have a fixed damage ratio, etc.
2: The travelling is really short. Its just he trains a little then wins/loses the next battle

Now for my compliments:
1: Good storyline
2: I like the way you gave it an Ash theme

OON: ok thnks, well it hasn't been set that they can only learn 4 moves, i'm still debating that
about the set damage thing, not sure what you mean
and about the second one, ya i've relised the story is going to fast, so i'm adding in some subplots now, and i'll edit in the battle
