Chapter one- Contemplating Thought.

She remembered that stupid science lesson back in poke school about magnets. How north and south attract, whereas to Norths or two Souths repel. She remembered that it was also like this for a lot of things too. As she looked to Buneary blushing madly at Pikachu, who wasn't understanding at all. She giggled to herself, how he was so like his owner. Maybe that scientific fact could have been proven wrong with those two. So perfect together.
Then she thought about Piplup, she realised that she had taken on her personality, or just was like that in the first place.
"Hey Dawn!" A friendly voice yelled, she flicked from her thought slightly, listening to him. "Wanna battle!? I could use the practice..."
She waved her hand as a signal of refusal, Brock sighed and battled instead, to stop any arguments before they began.
She drifted back into thought, sitting with her face rested in her palm.
Moments later, she was disturbed once more by the arm of a friendly face. "What's wrong Dawn?" He asked, looking quite puzzled. Girls, think?
She laughed at her sarcastic comment not said aloud. Ash backed off suddenly, wondering what was wrong.
"What have I done this time!?" He sneered, his face not so friendly.
That was it, she couldn't take it, her head felt like it was about to explode.
"Not again..." Brock groaned.
"Pika pika..." He sighed, before being bounced on by Buneary.
Total Chaos.

Lol thankyou, I laughed when I saw the picture, and had to put the words on.
Well I'll add more if more people read.

She somehow ended up pushed onto a bench, she realised she had gone too far, Ash was in a state of shock and so was she. His cheek was red and sore. He just turned and walked off.
As Brock had finished breaking them apart, he continued to stir a soup.
"That was wrong Dawn."
She sighed, "I know..."
"Did he really deserve it?"
She knew what she wanted to say, she also knew she couldn't, "n-no..."
"You wanna talk?"
She heard her mother say in her conscience; A problem shared is a problem halved.
Her problem was that she did it for no reason. She had no problem.
"...Nah. I think I'm gonna go for a walk." She mumbled.
He nodded in understanding, she hated when he did that.
"I understand, to go cool off..."
She scowled under her breath, what did he know about girls, he obviously didn't have a clue.
She just nodded, then walked off.
"You coming Buneary?" She already knew the answer, Buneary didn't need to think about it if Pikachu was about.
"Fine." She breathed.

She found Ash looking over a large pool of clean water, a habitat of a Seaking school. Oddish gathered close to the water, sinking into the moist soil. Gloom smelt sweet here as the water they drank was pure, and Vileplume absorbed sun. Bellosom danced happily for them.
She sat with her back to him, cowering sheepishly.
"Hey..." She started, he completely blanked her.
"Look I'm sorry for hitting you, I saw red. I'm not myself at the moment."
He snorted, she breathed slowly, keeping cool.
"So I'm hoping you'll forgive me?" She pleaded sweetly, he kept looking across the rippling water.
There was an awkward silence, each millisecond was making matters worse for Dawn, she was getting angrier.
"At least answer me..." She spoke impatiently.
"You think you deserve an answer?" He asked, still looking away.
She was confused "Well yeah."
"I think you went too far this time." He flicked his head and their eyes finally met, though Dawn immediately looked down, "I may be stubborn, but no way I'd hit you."
"I said I'm sorry!" She screeched, suddenly glaring back into his eyes.
"Well it's not good enough any more! You think a word can solve everything! But you don't mean it!"
"I didn't mean to hit you!"
He laughed sarcastically, "so you accidentally punched me?"
She butted in "I did not punch you, stop being a girl!"
"I wouldn't want to be a girl if they're all like you." He snapped.
She sucked in air sharply as if something had stung her. She didn't feel the need to comeback.
She just mumbled, "sticks and stones Ash."
Ash watched her look away, as if about to cry. He bit his lip.
"I thought I could I could hear girls crying."
She looked up, Ash turned.
"Don't start Paul, Brock isn't here to hold me back." She warned.
He smirked, "I like to push myself."
"We all know that." She snapped snootily. Ash watched them make sarcastic remarks at each other, until he eventually butted in.
"What do you want Paul?"
He looked at him, "I forgot you were here. Y'know, I've heard of all bark no bite, but you don't have either."
Dawn snorted, she had to agree. He had summed up their argument without knowing what had happened.

Okay! Okay!

She couldn’t help somehow smirking at Paul, even though she hated him.
Hate’s a strong word... She thought.
She listened to Ash getting slaughtered by Paul’s sharp comments, and stood in the middle of it. She turned on her heels and gasped.
“What’s that!?” Both Ash and Paul stopped shouting and looked suddenly, “what’s what?”
“She’s seeing things, I think your loser qualities are rubbing off on her.” Paul sneered. She didn’t even moan back, just stared across the lake. She did see something, she knew she did.
“I’m outta here; I don’t want to catch it too.”
Ash jumped, “Wait I want to battle!”
She sighed, he always did this, and Paul refused for a moment, and then suddenly started battling.
True to her word, which was only said in her mind, they did like a broken record.
She left them to it, and sat on the rock where Ash had been, and stared in the same direction. Out to the wombing waters. She found herself lost in thought again, like her first day out of Twinleaf town alone. She and Piplup saw that same thing on that day, she refused to forget it.
There was a sudden clash of attacks which was awfully close to her head. She squealed and turned to keep guard of her face and precious hair.
She watched Chimchar and Weavile battle together fiercely; she noticed Paul had done this on purpose, to show how ‘pathetic’ his hand-me-down was. She also noticed that Ash had noticed this, and so he was giving more than she thought he was capable of. Sadly, Paul had gotten better too.
“Flamethrower!”
“Ice Beam!”
The two powers collided, with Chimchar’s type advantage and Weavile’s power, they seemed evenly matched.
“Stop! Jump and Blizzard!”
It did exactly that, Dawn knew that it had to to satisfy his trainer, which is what his pokemon longed for. It shot an amazing blizzard and the fire pokemon, although it didn’t effect Chimchar much, it’s power tossed Chimchar towards the rock Dawn was sat on. She knew what she had to do. She put her hands down and caught the poor pokemon, then scooped it up and it cooed baby like.
“Dawn!” Ash yelled, waiting impatiently for the girl. She sniffed snootily then put it down gently and the battle continued.
She noticed Paul never said anything, even though that probably would have ended the battle for him.
She thought back to past events where she had seen him. He was calm with her while he shouted at Ash.
She suddenly blinked slowly. Shrugged her shoulders and then looked to see Weavile fainted.
Chimchar looked in disbelief, so did Paul.
“We’ve got work to do.” Paul said deeply, and walked off.
She sighed, not realising what she meant by it.

Yay! I'll write more!

“We did it Chimchar!”
He bounced around alone; Chimchar sat down and watched Paul leave. “Chimchar?” Ash asked, wondering what was wrong with it. He suddenly sat down in front of Dawn, blocking her view from everything but his cap. She grunted and slid off the rock sidewards, moving back to where Brock was.
“I’m hungry,” she complained, “Char!” it agreed.
She walked back to see Pikachu collapsed in exhaustion, and Buneary still tugging and hugging the poor thing. “Buneary, could you give it a rest?”
“Pika-pi!”
It ran up to it’s favourite person, jumping up and hugging him for a safety net from Buneary.
Moments later, all were eating happily, all the Pokémon but Pikachu ate on the floor; Pikachu chose to stay on the table, out of the way.
“I still don’t get it.”
Brock looked to his left, “get what Ash?”
“Well I won a battle with Chimchar, and it didn’t want to celebrate when we won...”
Dawn rolled her eyes, “I wonder why...” She sighed.
Ash glared at her, “why then Dawn?”
Brock took his turn of rolling his beady eyes as he took cover.
“Why don’t you tell Brock who the battle was with Ash? I bet he could tell you within that second.”
Brock had already guessed, and Ash had already guessed that he had guessed. “That would give me more reason to celebrate.”
“It wouldn’t for me. I’d still be slightly attached. Look at Chimchar’s reaction when he let him go!” Dawn yelled. The Pokémon had grouped together now, moving their heads between the two humans.
“Well Pokémon take the personality of their trainer!”
“Chimchar’s already had a trainer! That’s my point!”
They both glared at each other for a minute. Chimchar jumped on the table and fired a pretty but weak ember to look like orange confetti, then held Ash’s hand and danced.
“See! Now look what you’ve done!” Dawn huffed. “Piplup! Come on lets go.”
She recalled her other Pokémon and Piplup folded its wings and walked beside Dawn, her head snootily pointed upwards, her arms folded too.
One thing Ash had got right, Pokémon do take on their trainer’s personality.

She wound up at the lake again, Piplup jumped in happily. She dipped her feet in and splashed Piplup, holding her shoes and socks to one side.
Piplup turned as she splashed again, to find the water droplets froze and smacked Piplup on the head. She laughed none the wiser, but suddenly found her feet stuck in ice and Piplup’s body encased in ice.
“Oh no! Piplup are you okay?”
“Piii...” It squealed, the numbing pain began to sink in, it felt like needles being stabbed clean through.
“Magmar! Melt it.”
“Marrr.” It shot a fire spin around them and Dawn held her precious hair. She found herself excited to be saved by someone, even if she despised being by him.
