Volkner himself was shocked, Lucian had had his suspicions, but neither of them thought that this would actually happen.
"Miss Rayenne, Sir Riley said, that if he was to die, or something tragic was to happen, he wanted me to give you this." Lucario said, sitting in the window.
He took out a small box, and handed it to her. Rayenne opened it, and found a locket, and star shaped locket. She opened the locket, and found a picture of her and him in there. Another tear trickled down her cheek.
"Thank you Lucario, but please, do not call me 'Miss' it sounds too formal." she said.
"As you wish." Lucario said.
Volkner was looking out the window, pondering what he should do next.
'Lucian told me that if this was to ever happen, Rayenne shouldn't get involved. But it's too late for that, since Riley is dead, and now Lucario belongs to her.' he thought.
His gaze traveled along Sunnyshore, and then he noticed, that a boy, looking similar to Jehdin was running towards the gym.

Chris burst into the gym. "Volkner? Rayenne?"
"yes?"
"I heard about Riley's death. And I mourn him. He was a great person" Chris said.
"You knew him?"
"He was my best friend" Chris replied. "Rayenne, he told me once that he was in love with you".

'It's too late for me to tell him that I loved him...' thought Rayenne sadly.
'Ah, but he knew that sister.' came Lucario's voice.
Rayenne managed a soft smile through her tears. Lucario sat down beside her.
"You know Lucario, I have a feeling we are going to become great friends." she said.
Lucario smiled at her, and touched her hand, a gesture of freindship.
"Rayenne, Chris, I have to go, Flint just got in touch with me, there is some trouble. I will talk to you as soon as possible. Until then." Volkner said sharply, and walked out.
"Tell Flint I said hello, and tell him he still owes me an ice cream." Rayenne giggled.
She heard Volkner laugh.

"You're not the only one who has family in the Pokemon League, you know" Chris said to her.
"I'm not?"
"Nope. My sister is Cynthia, Pokemon League Champion until Jehdin beat her" Chris said with a grin.
"That's nice"
"I guess. Um... you hungry?"
"Why?"
"Well, I just happen to have $3000 from my time as a trainer, so I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner or a movie" Chris said with a nervous smile.

Rayenne was surprised. If anyone would ever asked that, she would've expected it to be Jehdin.
"Alright, maybe it will take my mind off what happened today." she said softly, fingering her locket.
Lucario smiled, and tapped his pokeball on her belt. He didn't want to interrupt whatever they were going to do. He was enveloped in a pale red light.
"I'd better call Volkner, or maybe Flint, and tell them where I'll be..." said Rayenne.
She picked up her cell phone, and dialed in Flint's number, but no one answered. She tried Volkner's, and still no one answered.
"Fine, I'll try Aaron!" she said.
She dialed Aaron's number, and he picked up the phone.
"Ray? What's up? Haven't heard from you in a while."
"Hey Aaron! Flint and Volkner aren't answering their cell phones, so I was wondering if you could tell them that I'll just be wandering around Sunnyshore, ok?"
"Sure, talk to you later!"

"Okay, then" Chris said.
Suddenly, his phone rang. Cursing, he flipped it open. "Hello?"
"Chris?"
"Yeah, it's me. Hi,Cynthia"
"Look, just calling to tell you that Lucian and Bertha are recovering from the 'incident' at the Pokemon League earlier as we speak. They're going to be fine"
"Good. I'll see you around, sis"
"Okay, bro. Bye!"
Chris hung up and closed his phone, then looked at Raylene. He simply said "Something happened at the Pokemon League earlier. Your brother and Bertha were injured during it. But Cynthia says they're going to be fine".

Chris nodded. "Okay, then. Which one first?"
"Which what first?"
"Movie or dinner"
"I don't know"
"How about dinner? I hear there's a nice restaurant on the way to Hearthome City"

Jehdin, was wet, soaked infact. Still dazed by what had happened. He had made up his mind, he was going to call Chris and tell him the news.
"Chris?" whispered Jehdin
"Speaking.."
"I'm leaving"
"Leaving!" Chris exclaimed in a suprised whisper.
" People will know what happened, what i did, i'm taking the first ferry to Johto, i'll stay with my dad in Blackthorne city. Tell Reyenne i'm sorry" With that Jehdim hung up, not knowing that the next time they see him will be deadly.

Yep, we sure have been busy.

Chris hung up and closed his phone. He looked at Rayenne and thought "She is extremely cute".
"Rayenne, I....." he began.
"You what?"
"I think I'm in love"
"With who?"
"Someone who possesses a rare and unnatural beauty, like you"

I think Reyenne is a guy magnet, everyone seems to be falling for her

"Oh dear...." she thought.
This wasn't going all that well. One, Jehdin liked her, two, Chris liked her, and three, the one she liked died, and now she was going to become emotionless.
"Oh, well, why don't we talk about this later, and just go out to dinner now." she said, a strained look on her face.
Chris nodded.

Jehdin burst into tears; for doing what he had done and leaving Reyenne.
"No" He thought " I must do this, for the good of Sinnoh " He threw out his Staraptor and flew to Snowpoint city and away from the one he loved most...Reyenne.
