I just bought the game (first time playing "The Show") and I'm trying to figure out the mechanics of hitting consistantly for contact and power depending on the situation. Does anyone have any advice?

I've set up my 1st for more power against rightys and almost have him set up for Leftys but I found that the best hitting spots for Leftys will be high or low and inside for rightys its low and out and high and in for me. I'm working on making the rest better but those are the best so far. AA 31 HRs, AAA a few games after the all star break, 29 HRs in season 2. I prefer getting my power up before contact. I'm hitting .440+ with C for a grade in contact which would be the .280 mark the power is helping me get the HRs of course and the average. I'm above .500 against rightys and .300+ against Leftys.

There will be hits that you would hit a HR same spot before and then the next cause a double play, you just have to work on timing for each pitch

So far my approach to hitting is to ALWAYS guess fastball because it's easier to adjust to an offspeed pitch than just the opposite. But other than that I'm just trying to get good wood on the ball and drive it to the gaps for hits.

Since I made that post I've hit a few HR where I guessed right and a few where I just hit the ball well enough for it to clear the wall by luck. It's getting easier... now I just need to work on my plate patience...
