I don't get it. You get three new multiplayer maps, plus a Nazi Zombies level that's always included new features. Asylum included the teddy-bear, it forced you to have an objective, and you had to work together, since it was literally just the two of you for the first 4 or so rounds. Plus, with the electricity barriers, what's not to like? All that, plus 3 multiplayer maps, for $10. Wow, $10.

The next map pack keeps the tradition of 3 multiplayer maps and a nazi zombies map, and retains the $10 price tag. This time, the Nazi Zombies keep some of the features like the teddy bear, but they remove splitting up the teams. This time, you have a huge area to play around with. Add in the fact that the box can move all around this area, and you could have a problem. Let's also mix in some hell hounds and actual characters, and a new setting, and what is not to like?

Why do people hate them? They seem worth $10 each to me. That's $20 overall. Seriously, what's $20 for a fun experience, and a great way to kill time?

Ok, while I can't change your opinion, your second statement is false. If Treyarch thought World At War sucks, why the hell would they continue supporting it with these releases? That makes no sense. If it was just to get money, they'd be overcharging for them and one would be released every other week.

You obviously don't get it do you? They aren't satisfied with their original, crappy product, so they add more things so people might think this game is good. That's why MW only had one map pack.

I think YOU don't get it. Why would they continue wasting money, resources, and time making map packs for (by your standards) a 'shitty' game? That makes 0 sense at all. If they thought this game sucked, all production, resources, time, and money would be directed towards Call Of Duty 7, which yes, has been announced and Treyarch are involved.

Plus, if indeed this game was 'shitty', which it's not, maps are not going to save it.

because those maps should've been in the game in the first place. We end up paying 30 dollars more for map packs added on with the money we already paid for a pretty mediocore game. It sucks.

At the end of the day, I've already paid £50 for the game, an extra £20 for something that isn't really gonna change the game a great deal just isn't worth it, especially when it's only a matter of time before Modern Warfare 2 comes out, save the money for something that will be worth it.

Whether it's worth it or not is up to the individual. If you play the game like nobody's business, it would only seem right to make the experience better.

Modern Warfare 2 isn't out until November. We've still got the rest of the summer and the start of Fall. 4 months. That's a while.

1st i dont see the "crappyness" u speak of

2nd i LOVE the zombie mode and would likely pay for the map packs just for new zombie maps

3rd i have said it b4 and will say it again, WaW is one of the best games i ever bought, i have at least 3 maybe more games that are newer than WaW, but here i sit, playin CoD, thats not a coincidence u know

4th (related to number 2) while i intend to at least at some point pick up MW2, i doubt it will have a zombie mode, which as stated is a big thing for me

The reason alot of people don't like is is because they have to pay for them, Simple as.

I can't say for the rest of you, But the map packs keep the game fresh, I don't play Call of Duty 4 anymore, Simply because i've been there, Done that.

Funny thing about it though, The maps keep on getting better, And better, But people are moaning more.

what's all this talk about paying $60 for the game? I payed 35 pounds for mine, that's about $45-$50 besides, the map packs add variety to multiplayer, some great maps are included. And $10 (8 pounds in UK) is VERY reaosnable for THREE new maps PLUS a new, fun nazi zombies map If you think it should be free, complain to Treyarch, but PLEASE - $10 isn't likely to break your bank balance much, is it?!?!
